Weekly scalping YM/ER2 trading journal for pshinspections

Since you say you are scaling in up to 40 contracts (and I would guess that your posted results are for YM), what are the results based on? Averged out per contract? Or total points per trade, regardless of number of contracts used?

So are you in your swing long trade now that 1373 was touched on the close?

Impressive work Vector. I've been watching for a few days now. There were nice bounces off your first 2 long levels today (although the first one occured during overnight action). Can you discuss at all how you come up with your trade zones?

The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

LOL....well, until you learn how to read the collective mind of the entire market to know exactly what it wants to do next, any kind of chart reading is using past action to make decisions based on probabilities of expected future outcomes. If you call that guessing, then so be it. For others...

The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

You can't bluff a trade. Bluffing only occurs on the bids/asks as the bluffed orders are pulled when price trades at the bid/ask price. Compare what actually trades on a T&S table to what had shown up on the DOM with bid/ask volume, and you'll get an idea of how much bluffing goes on (huge...

    Es Daytrading

OK, I was only going by what you posted in this thread. Your blog post says swing short at 1438-40, but your post here in the thread says swing short 1430 - 40, which is a very large range. I guess you typed it wrong in this thread.

    Es Daytrading

Are you referring to the chart you posted above in which the only short area you marked was around 1431 (but ES continued up to 1441)?

    Es Daytrading

You called out a 10 pt. range in which to short? Isn't that awfully big for daytrading? I wouldn't call that "very very good work". :)

    Trading Futures with two accounts?

What you describe is achieved simply by using a dual bracketed stop entry method, with 1/2 the commissions. For example, if S&P (no idea where Ibex35 is) is at 1380 and you're thinking of using 2 pt stops either direction, simply enter a simultaneous buy stop at 1382 and sell stop at 1378...

Anyone here ever hear of a guy using the name Grumpee?

Thanks for sharing your experience at MyTrades. Two follow-up questions: 1. Did you try to work Grumpee's "market balance" set ups? 2. Could you ever distill out a specific method to implement from all of Lav's market trading discussion? I would guess not, given that you left the...

Trading e-minis with $1k starting capital

Don - Most all of the futures brokers allow $500 margin for daytrading the CME e-minis. A minority, like Tradestation, do require $1K or higher. The amounts you mentioned are set by the exchanges, but as I understand it, the brokers can set lower amounts for daytrading based on their...

Learning to read Price Action with P&F Charting

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this revision seems to be filled with blanks also (one new chart, and the two that appeared the first time are gone this time). :( Are the chart insertions large files (like more than 1 meg)? Maybe that's causing a problem when the word file is...

    ES M8 is horrible

That makes sense. How do you chart the relationships? Do you have a program that will chart the ratio of the two instruments?

    ES M8 is horrible

A couple questions on the spreads you mention. For example, on the ER2/ES, why would you only go long ER2 and short ES, and not vice versa? How do you chart that spread? I would assume the spread oscillates up and down, and I would think you'd want to go short ER2/long ES at one end of...

Learning to read Price Action with P&F Charting

HG - Thank you very much for initiating this thread and putting together this summary! In opening your attached document, there are many large blank areas. Are there supposed to be charts in those blank areas? Thanks again. Sandy
