Oh nonsense. The LP structure is still the best way to consolidate many managed accounts. The whole point is to take a shot and make a go of it, to turn a small fund into a big fund. Yes, you'll need a couple of years to gut it out with supplemental income if you're only managing a couple...

Yup. You can build a pretty big fund with people you know and trust and who will stick with you for years. One bozo decided he wanted to call us and the accountants every day - we cashed him out immediately. We stayed away from all the third party marketers and listing services, and it's been...

    BRCM

I think their technology will be crowded out shortly - frontal attacks by both CSCO and INTC. Plus, I think Henry Nicholas is a smart guy. He knew it was over.

What utter tripe you post. Any good system can be clearly expounded with a fixed set of rules. You spout nonsense.

    Sick Feeling

What a laugh. The younger generation you speak of is YOUR kids, but you don't even recognize that. Your generation has been a disaster, especially when it comes to raising kids. Seriously, I hope Tom Brokaw writes a book called The Worst Generation, where he talks about the self-absorbed...

Amen brother. I watched Oprah once and thought that these women had escaped to a different planet. What the hell were they talking about, remembering spirits and personal angels and crap like that?

TradeStation 7 Released & New Lower Commissions

I had the same problem. Typical TradeStation nonsense: blame it on the user first. For some reason, their culture is to hide their problems from the users. Deny, deny, deny.

TradeStation 7 Released & New Lower Commissions

Not to mention that TS7 was way overhyped. Very few innovative features and still not up to the 2000i functionality.

    is laden dead again?

So harry, where can we learn more about your methodology?

    Street Insight & Doug Kass

How's the Kass bottom call doing? Or did he go short in hedge fund time?

    TradeStation 7

Oooh mktman, don't get them mad at you. You have to play nicey nicey with them and don't ask any tough questions, cuz then they just ignore you and put you on "The List". Of course, if you pop up on their site and post "Grrrreaat new release" then you've got it made. But if you find 8 bugs and...

    Missing Data in TS6

I would wait until the bugs shake out. Lots of my TS 6 systems do not run on TS 7. I'm currently debugging this pervasive "Divide by zero" error with any system that uses multiple data series, i.e., there are not even any "/" operators in the EL code.

    Missing Data in TS6

Probably has something to do with the TS 7 switchover, which has been an absolute mess. I can log in three different times and get three different performance results.

What book or class influences your trading today the most?

What nonsense. The more I have read, learned, and studied over the years -whether it be Gann, Drummond, Gartley, Hurst, Merrill, Schabacker, Sperandeo, Dorsey, Dunnigan, Prechter, Tharp - the better the trading. Immersion works. PTR

    ECNs on Level II

Thanks for the info - what software did you use to do that?
  16. PoundTheRock

    ECNs on Level II

Can anyone explain this phenomenon? If I trade a relatively illiquid stock, after the order is executed, a sequence of ECNs will suddenly line up on the offer, looking something like this: INCA 15.42 3 ADFN 15.42 3 ARCA 15.42 3 BRUT 15.42 3 CINN...

Agree, the number of people who loaded up on March calls anticipating resolution before that date is staggering. I think they lose imo.

    "C Up" This Afternoon?

If any of you follow Mark Fisher (he wrote the Logical Trader), an "A Down" pattern formed this morning, and a "C Up" this afternoon. Historically a rare pattern, it usually leads to a big last-hour move to the upside. Should be interesting...

I think initially you were right. But the past few weeks his writing is back to his old standards.
