Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

This wasn't the point. You were comparing flu with COVID. In the case of Flu you used deaths vs infected and in the case COVID you used deaths vs population. If you want to compare against population then use the same metric with flu as well. And it's not completely unreliable, we already know...

Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

You do realize that there's flu in african countries ? And not just 1 or 2 cases per year... It's not just warm weather, it's about people being inside vs people being outside more. Humidity and UV light do help to get the germs down (in the case of flu). People escape indoors from cold AS WELL...

So, you are actually agreeing with my post that this is worse than the flu ?

Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

You are missing my point, you need to compare apples to apples. Flu is compared against infected, so you need to compare corona also against infected if you care about comparing those two diseases. The offical rate at the moment is 5%, i dropped it to 1%. safe to say i took quite a large chunk...

Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

I'd say, it's not the right thing, it's just that there is no alternative. The modern business models are built on the assumption that there will be no force majeure's. Noone has any reserves because if you did you'd be out of competition because there's always someone who is always all in. No...

Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

OMG, you are comparing death rate to total POPULATION ?? WHY ? death rate is compared to total infected not to total population. Flu has a rate of 0.1% while corona has up to 5% (check infected vs deaths world total). Sure, it probably isn't THAT high but it's definitely above 1% if not close...

More bull traps here.... I am so excited.....

Your title is "bull trap" and you write about shorts getting burned ? Bull trap means that people are fooled to go long and the market dumps. But how does that burn the shorts ? What exactly is it that you are saying ?

Beware of the bull traps!, CCL as an example

not really, if prices stay flat you keep on losing money as well. Oil is in strong contango which means that when you are rolling the contract every month you are getting a higher price each time and that price can again drop back to 20. Example: you own CL now at price of 20. Lets say price...

Beware of the bull traps!, CCL as an example

So, you don't put money where your mouth is ? Why do you have an opinion at all then ? Sry, let me refrase, why are you expressing your opinion if there's no real conviction behind you ? Maybe you're afraid that your opinion is meaningless ?

What I think the truth behind the corona virus boogeyman story

I'm afraid the next leg up is gonna be through lower dollar and/or higher rates. So that the real stock market growth is through devaluation. It's fine for those who earn and spend in dollars, bad for everyone else. The fact how many people actually waited for this "discount" and the general...

What I think the truth behind the corona virus boogeyman story

Peleko's conspiracy is still legit when you look 10,20,30 years ahead. The trillions spent to fight the virus aren't real dollars :)

What I think the truth behind the corona virus boogeyman story

Noone knows why this got viral. Maybe social media, maybe regular media, maybe the increased anxiety levels that have grown over the years, maybe all together, maybe some conspiracy, who knows. No we didn't. Back in 2018 we dropped 20%+. That should have shaken out a lot. Secondly, haven't you...

I believe the era of mass consumption is over. The world will change now

are you serious ? The perspective of those who pour corona beer down the sink will change ? Nothing will change for them, they can't handle the change psychologically. No, they won't fly less or cruise less. What's the purpose of living for them then ? There is no lesson to take here because the...
