UK Spreadbet firms to be investigated by the FCA

I doubt it. Just look at where IG's founder went to school to.

Transition to full time trader quitting school and work

That's bullshit. 1) If you have a real alpha even on a small niche, you'll still find a job and you'll learn other niche and other markets as an employee of the hedge fund. 2) stocks with market cap > 500m$ aggregate to 2.4e^12, or 2,400,000,000,000 $ or 2.4 Trillion. 3) 3 days of down...

Buy low sell high is succesful :counter trend

Man of course it's not real. 400k minus taxes is 200k and the car is 100k already. you think someone smart enough to make 400k in a shit market like penny stocks would spend 50% of it on a damned car ?

    Principle based day trading strategies

You're completely wrong. Losing money is part of the game and this is the wrong attitude, you will still lose money but not make enough money because you get out too early. Also, the notion of time in the market doesn't really exist. Percentages also don't make sense in trading. Crude Oil...

UK’s FCA bans trading bonuses, sets leverage cap of 1:50 on CFDs, proposes 1:25 leverage for newbies

No, you need to be close to existing regulation on Futures. A CFD is essentially a Future with extra spread and the ability of the broker to fck you over on the execution. A Futures of Crude Oil has a margin requirement of 4,000$ for a face value that was at 100k$ not so long ago, or about 1:20.

Buy low sell high is succesful :counter trend

No, Trading Education Buyer knows when the high is a high and a low is a low. Because he's a winner.

Transition to full time trader quitting school and work

I don't want to sound negative, but the last 5 years was essentially the best years of the S&P 500 over the last 100 years or so. How do you know you don't just make beta performance ? If you actually make alpha, you're much much better off joining a hedge fund, after 5 years in you can easily...

Buy low sell high is succesful :counter trend

Wrong. Buy high, sell higher. That's what winners do.

    Bell!!!

Most "success stories" you will read are either complete bull shit or just the result of variance. You can make money for 18 months straight and still be the result of luck. Same problem exists in the institutional world when hiring a trader. Let's say in 2000, Goldman Sachs has 2,000 traders...

    Bell!!!

Worst market in the world, nobody has ever made money on FX. I used to be a market-maker on Spot FX and even on the institutional side, I haven't seen a single hedge fund that made money in FX. Yet, plenty make money in Futures.

How binary options brokers lure clients

90% of the retail traders lose 90% of their capital within 90 days. Binary options is just a simplified casino that requires no casino-like state taxes and makes retail traders think they are wall streeters instead of punters.

Testing the ALL in and Scale Out or ALL Out Exit Stratgey

Hmmmm.... I wouldn't say that. First you come up with the trading logic, e.g. when to buy and when to sell, following what behavior on what data. Once that your system is robust, not over-fitted, realistic and has a good correlation to the rest of your portfolio of systems (as in no...

Testing the ALL in and Scale Out or ALL Out Exit Stratgey

Hold on. So you're watching the screen pretending to trade and writing down how much money that makes ? What if your strategy only works for 6 months ? The only way you can know if your strategy is good or not is to push a button and see what it did over the last 20 years. Try NinjaTrader...
