How many of you (small timeframe) traders take PA into account?

Fear? how could fear be an issue if you have absolute control on your losing trades? ...once you get there (letting go and accept the losing side of trading as just cost of business), and I know it can be hard, fear will not be an issue, you just place your bet at a low risk area with small...

The closest thing to the holy grail is.....

Hi i960, of course it is not a game of probability, i would never suggest to place trades at random. The gambling concept is only to state the obvious: there is no way, method, indicator, technique that can tell us with certainty which way price will go in the next moment. This is obvious but...

The closest thing to the holy grail is.....

Holy grail: absolute control of losing trades, until and unless you have that you will never make GOOD money. To get absolute control of losing trades you need to accept that trade is gambling and losing is an integral part of the game. Now, to accept that some trades will be losers you need...

What I learnt in a year of trading stocks

OK, a bit more on how I think: Trading is gambling (obvious) as we cannot predict which way price will go, though we can and we must (to be a successful trader) learn to identify areas where price is most likely to reverse. A trader need to learn to keep absolute Control on losing trades: until...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Well, the Obvious exist and is so evident in its simplicity that is mind blowing! I do not the context where one of the OP may have indicated the importance of the letter I,O,U, in obvIOUs but they have a meaning in relation with the Obvious, the same is true to the 7sons, and an assorted...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

What I learnt in a year of trading stocks

Yes GK, but the devil is in the details: when and where is the place to buy and when and where is the place to stop holding... I now know that I cannot know for sure but I know where and when is more likely and if wrong it matter not as I also know that I do not need to lose much since if I am...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

JS persist, all these variously bad poems might seem like a lot of mumbo-jumbo but they are instead pure gold and once you get it, all that mumbo-jumbo will make perfect sense! Use the Box but think outside the box and know that all books and stuffs out there about trading are pure crap.

What I learnt in a year of trading stocks

Hi H123, I trade what I see, I do not use indicators, I only look at the way price is moving in real time. I do not trade Options, I never bothered to understand how they work since I think I have quite enough on my plate with Stocks. I use Stops (not trail stops as they cannot possibly work)...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I have had another look at the No .... words and I now think that the one that make more sense is: "No Distractions" as if anything distracting is happening around you you may want to reconsider the idea of taking a trade as most likely it will be a bad one! what do you think?

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

GO, yes the first one is a selection point as you need to decide if the instrument has opportunity and it is worth sticking with it until the right time (second decision point) come to act. so for the first one you may decide to move on to another instrument for instance if you are in a risky...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

yeah, i was thinking on no Action as the stage in the process (and the picture) seems to indicate the need for further verification, but No Opportunity makes also perfect sense. anyway the whole diagram is very interesting and the one that especially got me thinking is the 6th one...i had a look...
