I stopped after 500 consecutive tails. Not realistic in my mind. Gabe Couldn't resist. 1000 consecutive tails.

    The CL/NQ experiment

The only thing I see are the peaks and troughs that I have circled but if you would not have mentioned those 2 times, I don't think I would have found the circled areas of significance. What am I missing? Gabe PS They are in a 50% retracement area (give or take) but it depends on where...

Only 1 trade today. I lost interest after it but kept watching the charts. Gabe

Mr. Computer is healthy again. :) For the blood seekers (I am sure they will be licking their chops reading this), after several years of attempting to crack this nut (trading) I think it's time to change course. Not to stop trading but something else. Some people here tried to help and some...

    The CL/NQ experiment

Today's trades. Trades #1 and #2 were high probability based on an observation I made through my Market Replay. Not too happy with trade #4 but I had a bias to the upside (not a very good reason). Gabe

I have been wrong too many times so I stopped using absolutes. I was commenting on todays trades. If we hit a period of chop, the all-in/all-out may work better. In trending days, I would say that most of the time, a scale-out approach would fair better. Gabe

Looks like an All-In/All-Out approach yields better results. Gabe http://screencast.com/t/3DOJltDt

    The CL/NQ experiment

Today's trades. I should not have taken trades #2 & #3. The bar of trades #2 & #3 should have signaled a long. Trade #4 was taken off the 1min chart. Gabe

I did not actually take that trade because I was in a trade already. I'll post it later. Some people call them catastrophic stops. The successful trader that I wrote about in the past almost never uses them. He gets out before they are hit. The truth is that those stops of his were fairly...

    The CL/NQ experiment

I mainly trade off the 5min chart and my initial stop is 11 cents as that is what I arrived at looking at historical MAE. These stops are adjusted to the extreme of the entry bar. Yesterday may have been an exception. I am investigating and I have made some observations but I want to re-check...
