    NQ - Supply & Demand

Thanks for the reply. Would you be able to give me an example of a "why" answer. I can answer the where and the what but why I am a little unsure of. Could the why be something like Resistance is tested (where), price breaks demand line (what), price retraces making a lower high...the why...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

So beginning the process the first step is deciding what kind of trader I want to be and my goals. 1. for the time being I want to be a day trader and then eventually add EOD trading in addition to my day trades. 2. Be able to quit my job and and trade for a living. 3. Obtain a sense of...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Have been back in observation mode for a week or two with all the new found info I have absorbed. Even observing how the days go has been much improved. Goal is to have a defined trading plan within one to two weeks time after observing then begin sim trading again. Just an update.

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Tiny bit of frustration today. Had an order placed to short at 3605.5 but for whatever reason (don't know why) I canceled it. The second frustration was not giving my fourth trade the third short I took at 3597 more room. Everything else although not spectacular I am ok with. The last short...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Positives for the day is knowing when to stand aside. Losses overall have gotten progressively smaller and since i've started back up in mid December I am still positive overall.

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Also wanted to enter a short at 3604 but was unsure due to the risk we were trading within a range.

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Having trouble posting my chart. First trade I went long moving towards the high of the day. The plan was if that long wasn't working out I was to SAR on the break of the demand line. Didn't follow the plan went BE on the long trade, didn't SAR but took the first retracement thereafter...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Another interesting day for me took 3 more losses. I think my problem as of right now is I go against my better judgement and may fear missing getting into the winning trade. Once the first selling wave came in my initial instinct was we would be in a trading range.

    NQ - Supply & Demand

I suppose this is where that well developed trading plan comes in. I recognized both 50% levels that you mentioned I just 1. Was "following" the bride thread and 2. At this point just wasn't sure what to do with those levels, more so the 50% level around 91. Thanks for the insights. Today I will...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Thanks for the help. Essentially the first chart you posted for me isn't too far off from what I did. The last long on the chart you posted I had stopped trading so I missed that one. The first long I waited for the break of the swing high before taking the retracement which I suppose was not...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

Started doing replays of the NQ and figured I would start my own journal as to not clutter the straight line series of threads. Right now following what is being spoke of in the bride thread. Today I lost 4 of 4 trades and if I would have kept trading the fifth would have kept me positive...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Can you trade EOD the same way you day trade? Would something like the first retrace after a sl/dl break be viable on a daily chart?
