I think any broker with a license from a reputable regulator can be considered reliable. It's the offshore brokers one should be wary of, there is a whole bunch of risks related to their (lack of) regulation - poor oversight, low capital requirements, no position reporting, etc. I'd be careful...

All I can think about is the poor civillians caught up in this horror. Just normal people, living their lives, and then this happens.

It looks like Libra is no more. The project, which at some point was renamed to Diem, doesn't seem to exist anymore - the Diem Asssociation (that's the former Libra Association) is selling off its intellectual and other assets to investment banks and apparently looking new jobs for the IT...

It just keeps getting worse, unfortunately. What an awful day for the world.
