Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

I won't answer your question for three reasons: 1) It would take a long time to explain everything in a way that the readers would get a clear picture about how cross border and multi jurisdictional taxation works. 2) You would still find a forum where they say otherwise and would ignore the...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

Is there anyone who knows how much tax traders should pay in Germany? Not investors or occasional traders, but full-time daytraders.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Vitrade and Flatex from Germany are probably the cheapest I've seen in a while and clients may benefit from a €100,000 deposit protection per client. Patria from Czech Republic is cheap too but the deposit protection is only up to €20,000 per client.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Keytrade Bank is reasonably cheap and presumably they offer a deposit protection up to €100,000 per client. Fees are starting from €14.95 / transaction between €0 and €5,000 blocks. BOV Stockbroking clients presumably also benefit from the up to €100,000 per client deposit protection scheme...

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Lynx and Degiro can be cheap too but both of them are Dutch so the deposit protection per client is €20,000 only.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Exante offers really cheap trades on some EU markets but clients are protected up to €20,000 only.

Calamatta Cuschieri is another one. They have been offering services since 1972. Their clients are protected up to €100,000 each and you can trade stocks from 0.1% on some EU exchange with a €9.99 minimum. Their CC Trader platform also offers bonds and funds. There is no account minimum.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Internaxx is another one, deposits are guaranteed up to €100,000 per clients however there is a tiered account maintenance fee depending on the number of trades you have placed in the previous quarter, ranging from €0 to €45. Trading on EU markets costs €24.95 + 0.1%. Not cheap.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

I found another one. Some EU residents may open an investment account with BNP Paribas and it allows you to trade equities online. The minimum deposit is €50,000 though but this one is a bank owned brokerage subsidiary.

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Not sure but it seems like Swissquote customers may be protected up to CHF 100,000 (about €88,000) per client which is significantly higher than Saxo's and IB's €20,000. This may apply to cash deposits only as I can't find reliable information about what happens if the broker goes bankrupt...

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Mr. Thomas Peterffy left my country because he wanted to and I'm really happy he did so because he managed to create one of the best brokers on the planet. Still, this thread is not about IB but other brokers. I believe there are plenty of threads to discuss how IB works, what they charge, how...

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Nothing, except the max. €20,000 / account holder deposit protection for EU customers who open an account with their UK subsidiary. Plus, I clearly said that everyone knows IB so it doesn't makes sense to talk about them in a topic that's not about them. I just checked your link. Indeed, they're...

Is there a safe, big broker for European stock trading?

Hi there, There are numerous big and well capitalized independent and bank owned brokers in the US but I can't find much here in the EU. I'm looking for one of these things: - A big independent brokerage firm that is well capitalized. By big I mean Fidelity or Charles Schwab big, here in the...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

By the way, another nice and new option in the EU where the personal income tax rate is flat 10% from 2018 is Romania. I think it may be safer than Bulgaria and you can pay the same 10% on your trading income and 5% on dividend income. Some social security applies on the first X Euros just like...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

Thank you but I don't think I'd like to live in Gibraltar to pay less and I'm not that sure if that would work. I contacted an advisor in Gibraltar back in 2017 and they said that frequent trading may be taxable as locally sourced income and thus subject to regular tax rates. Paying 15% in a...

I don't want to argue with you because I know that you're wrong, you think that you're not and this is the situation when you think that you're right and there is no way to convince you. As a human to human, I don't want you to have any negative consequences of what you're doing so please...

If that is the special savings or whatever it's called account, then you're wrong. That is for investors, not for traders. I have confirmed this with Swedish advisors and if you trade on it then you should pay regular income tax. Same goes for Netherlands' 1.2% wealth tax on investments. It is...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

It all comes down to personal preferences. What you implied is tax fraud. I don't think it's worth it for two reasons: Hungary charges 15% PIT, Bulgaria charges 10% PIT. One is Central Europe, safer than Germany or France and the other one is Eastern Europe, not that safe. I don't think it's...
