I think Ralph00 has it correct, the recent run-up in the inflation numbers are being caused by factors outside of the feds control. Remember the Fed can only tighten or relax the money supply and neither will have an effect on energy prices and the resulting bleed through. I think no ease yet...

You could be right about that, it would only be fair. If you are able to profitably manage your personal account full time for four years than you are already way ahead of most charter holders in ability. Of course it would then take a min. of seven years, and that's a long time.

I agree a seven will add no real credibility. A CFA is not an open option unless you are already employed in the investment business, it is one of their requirements. There isn't a lot of real free lance writing in the financial world. Most of what you see are actually paid for publicity drops...

No that won't work, low inflation resulted in low interest rates which caused an buying frenzy in certain markets. It also wasn't just lower rates but an explosion in financing options, ARM's, IO loans etc. Home prices actually run counter to aggregate inflation, this is part of the reason there...

Wareco that is a great point the CPI and PPI numbers have been cooked ever since the Fed Gov tied entitlement increases to them. They actually reclassified housing costs as an investment.

Wow a grand a month in COBRA, that is a motivation. The prop firm I work for has no benefits so I also pay my own health, have you looked at a policy with a high deductible. I swear my policy only runs like is like a grand a year, with a $2000 deduct.

Oh please go on, you pay nowhere near 60% in total taxes. Why do you think you get a fat refund every year. Last year my net tax was 29%, not including sales tax.
