I like how you hedged yourself with the word 'most' :D Even still I highly doubt that given the vast number of combinations that exist.

I look at it 24/7 and trade it (ES, SPY) EVERYDAY. You can believe what you want, all I'm saying is it's NOT random overall to me. Sure, sometimes there is randomness or perceived randomness but I trade directionally and have not found the mkt to be random.

Of course he has! No one would make such bold statements about what is or isn't possible unless they tested every single possible combination of ways to view and trade the market....duh! :D

So you DON'T trade something yet feel it's OK to make a definitive statement about it? LOL. Well I DO trade the mkt and I can say that it's NOT random. And when the pockets of randomness do occur, I rarely get trade setups. When things align I tend to get the majority of my trades.

Hasn't been my experience. Sure there is randomness in the mkts but mkts are NOT all random. Really learning the nitty gritty helps to see this point. Give it a few more years :)

Same with mine, because it's not based on some inefficiency that the mkt can wipe out but rather natural mkt tendencies that repeat everyday, across all time frames. I chose this path for that very reason and I'm thinking you did the same. :)

Prof, it's too hard to explain to the casual mkt participant exactly what the savy trader knows and understands. It's like Ted Williams trying to explain to a little leaguer all the exact mechanics that went into his swing as well as how he saw the ball coming out if the pitchers hand and how he...
