Be careful with some of the online scans. I have heard that the more unscrupulous ones actually download a few viruses on your machine then claim to have found them! You then have much incentive to purchase their software since THEY were the ones who found the bugs!

Just my additional 2 cents... depends on how much per trade risked. If 1% was risked and all trades were losers then I would say less than 35 due to the effect of compounding.

The above comments are all very nice and provide plenty of food for thought. I would suggest though that they should not be relied upon at face value but that you conduct your own tests to verify them. Yep, hard work awaits you!

I use Amibroker www.amibroker.com for my testing. Has all the attributes that you mentioned. You have to import in intraday data or you could use a real time feed (e.g. esignal, IB brokers).

Excellent link. Should be very sobering for those who have the "prices can't go down since they ain't making any more of it" type thinking. I doubt if they are making any more land in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area...check out the price falls...
