Maverick, I'm just curious, since you have seen the data, at what dollar level do you see retail traders able to make a living from trading? I know we are all making gross generalizations and "making a living" is very subjective but I've never known somebody that would have access to data...

And to add to that Coach, you also said you would look at putting on a deep OTM put credit spread to help finance the debit position you just created. Not sure if you could get all of the $7,000 or not, depends on many things. ryan

I took a look at the quotes on XEO, there isn't any premium once you get outside of 2% or so (I was looking at Feb) of the current index price of 584. As I don't follow it I don't know this for sure but I would guess that this is typical. ryan

I closed my 1190/1200 Jan put spread on Friday. Looking to put on the same position for Feb but couldn't get a fill this morning. Might bump it up to 1195/1205 to grab just a little more premium but I would rather be at or below 1200 on the short side. ryan

I think they saw political opportunity to get it passed and jumped on it. They are trying to protect their business and saw that the winds had shifted in their favor to make the move. Just my humble opinion. ryan
