Are you talking about a 3/1 gain to loss ratio, or a 3/1 winners to losers ratio? Because you don't need a 3/1 gain to loss ratio if your winners to losers ratio is high enough. Please elaborate.

Gary. I don't believe you can trade equities with FFasttrade. I think they limit themselves to futures. If I'm wrong, I'm sure Riskless, the COO for FFasttrade will set me straight.

Alain, if you enter as soon as both stochastics cross the threshold, do you then exit the trade if one of them leaves the threshold (ala Jack's stated method of exiting) even if its during the same 5 min. bar as the entry?

It might be interesting to post theoretical trades in which the stochastics signal a trade, but for which the MACD does not confirm. This would provide a method to determine the actual usefulness of this filter. FWIW
