My question is what kind of regulations will be on this type of institution? Fannie and Freddie got into some financial hanky panky, what's to stop this thing from repeating history down the road?

I still think, that the risks posed in the spread could be greater than the interest one can earn (assuming those are the rates as well).

All right, I'll bite. I ran this through a paper account on TOS. Went long the AUD/USD @ .8353, shorted the December futures contract @.8296. with a spread of .0057 pips. The rational, lets just say one wanted to take advantage of the interest earned on 100,000 units over a week (7 days)...

Out of curiousity. Assuming one was willing to accept the spread risk. One goes long that AUD/USD, and then takes the opposite side in a futures contract? So far, the risk is only the spread between the futures and spot, that is if it widens more than what can be collected in interest...

Well...I have an account with OX, perhaps we may see lower commissions? I used to trade with openEcry, gave good margin rates. I wonder if OX will use OE's platform?:confused:

I used to use Norton, then was a beta tester for One Care. It's not bad at all. They've recently updated it (under the hood kinda stuff), and it runs better. Overall, it's a good product.

Seems only ES works, also not able to do Iron Condors or verticals. Say I short an OTM put, would I see a lessening in margin if I offset it with a separate long on another OTM put?

I'd like to practice something out on the paper trading, will options on futures be available for that as well this week? By the way, good job so far.

Does anyone know if TOS or IB utilize credits towards spread margins. Say one does calander spreads between front month and following month in Eurodollars or Crude or ES? Be nice to know that was possible.
