Most platforms I have seen permit you to "Stage" or "Park" an order for future submission. Sort of like loading the gun, what stops you from "Staging" a limit order? What platform is preventing you from QM Market orders?

It varies from desk to desk. I was an institutional trader and we had a "20 day holding period" and could not traffic in any names that were mentioned in any research in the past 48 hours. I forgot to mention........a few guys were in and out of QQQQ, SPY and futures with no holding period...

Exactly, there is just enough liquidity in QM. It will trade exactly with the pit , as it did pre Clearport, with a few less scalpee s_bags!

CL or pit traded volume has not been drastically affected by this migration. So why can't you just pick your spots in the QM? I would think most platform's/brokers will have Clearport access within a few days.
