    ING offering 2 year CD @ 4%

Hmmm...I for one would choose to retire peacefully with 3-5% p.a. insured by the FDIC than spend time worrying with Stocks.

    ING offering 2 year CD @ 4%

Oh I see. The risk is when the bank defaults right? Yes, the 1% extra might not be worth it without FDIC.

Forex Pros : How to avoid tonight's Euro whip??

Just so we're on the same time frame here, my clock's at EST 11:23 July 18th now. Forex trading pros, throw us lesser beings a bone. Look at the chart for Euro tonight, US session. Whipsaw up and down in a tight 15-20 pips range. How can we avoid getting killed tonight? The small spikes up...

    ING offering 2 year CD @ 4%

$1mil @ 5% p.a. is like $4200 a month. Enough for retirement! Anyway are CD the best rates already? 4-5% p.a. for long term CDs and 3+% for short term ones? What about termed/fixed deposits etc? These are figures for the USA right? Are there any better countries? I heard Australia has like...

There are no guaranteed Stops. EVER.

There isn't. EuroFX Futures has always been a better instrument for those trading Forex. 1 pip spread constant anyone? In the case of IB, their EC comms is about $6 RT per lot. 1 lot = 100k size. For those doing 250k size or greater they can execute on IDealPro for a comm advantage.

There are no guaranteed Stops. EVER.

I have never used Hotspot FX before. IB doesn't guarantee stops. If your broker says they "guarantee your stops", chances are you can straddle the crap out of them lol.

    Trading for a living

You make 6 figures a year? $250k a year?????????? Check your bank account, if you have US$1mil (only 4 years of salary omg), chuck it into a termed deposit bank account and live off the interest. Then retire to go tour the world or something. You know my goal in life is to make US$250k...

    Cash & Carry

Who cares if "any newbie" can come up with a system and start trading. The important thing is if it MAKES MONEY! I'll rather be a rich newbie than a broke expert.

Sabotaging profitable traders on Spot FX dealers?

I read that for a lot of Spot FX dealers once you're flagged as profitable they'll put you on "manual execution" which means major slippage and requotes. True or false?

    What should a newbie trade?

cool, sounds like a really good opportunity to fade support/resistance or trade range systems. i mean, most of the time range system fails during trending periods. HKD doesn't trend. I'll be damned! ^_^ now lets check out where i can get me self some hkd/usd....

    What should a newbie trade?

agree mostly but.... CME's FX Futures is on a regulated exchange. ^_^ IB's ideal pro isn't but they're honest. i do FX over bonds and stuff because i can only trade a few hrs a day and so trade intraday. another reason for doing intraday is i can't stand holding positions through 100 tick...
