    Rydex and ProFunds Traders

such a proposal would have difficulty passing but all of the mutual fund industry seems behind it. And they can argue that it is good for the markets because it fosters stabilization. Like you said, this just a bunch of crap -- I do think if it passes AND there is an exception for Rydex and...

I have not seen that "exception" but hope that is correct.

    Gdp 7.2%

I've learned to trade better by completely ignoring the economic data and just looking at the charts and indicators. Otherwise, I have too many things to think about that may cause me to have a filtered view of the market (i.e., is it really good news or is it the "good news always comes out at...

    Rydex and ProFunds Traders

As someone already mentioned, IRA's are an issue because you can't trade on margin or short ETF's. Also, if you want to use a group trading feature to trade multiple accounts, it's easier and more cost efficient with Rydex / ProFunds (no commissions). Granted, your trading times are...

    Rydex and ProFunds Traders

For those of you who trade these funds, please note that the Investment Company Institute which represents 385 mutual fund families is asking the SEC, among other things, to set a redemption fee of at least 2% on sales of mutual funds within 5 days of purchase. This fee would apply to ALL FUNDS...

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

I got hooked up this week. For me, this software should work out well. I don't know if I would like the format for "scalping," but for swing trading, it should allow me to better utilize some of the set-ups and chart templates I've developed on TC2000 over the past 2 years.

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

I really don't know much about Chris Manning to tell you the truth. I don't think paying anyone a lot of money for training can replace the benefits of learning on your own. What type of trading style are you looking to implement?

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

I had heard that the first version (which came out this Spring/Summer) was still a work in progress, but it would appear that they've made some major improvements in the most recent release -- as confirmed by easyguru -- also based on the marketing effort that they're now doing with the new...

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

Anyone currently using it? Any opinions? Has the stability improved from the initial release earlier this year?

    The Costanza Effect

I saw that episode recently (while I was going through a bad trading streak) and it did strike me -- maybe if I just did the opposite of what I would normally do in the market -- maybe I would make some money! At least I need to consider that option.

    Trading Plan

In case anyone is interested in how I set up my Trading Plan, here's a brief outline: 1. First page is my Beliefs and Affirmations -- review each day before trading. 2. 2nd page outlines my general trading plan and includes the following: (a) Investment Vehicles; (b) Monthly Goals; (c)...

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

I tried TC2000 real-time about a year ago and found it to be very unreliable. Still, I don't have many complaints about the end-of-day version.

    Anyone try TCNet yet?

I've always liked TC2000 for end-of-day charting. Has anyone tried Worden's TCNet yet?

    Quicken to Esignal

I've found myself using Nextrend (just the basic real-time version) quite a bit lately and have been relatively happy with it. It seems to be more reliable than ESignal and IQChart. By the way, I couldn't agree more about TC2000 for end-of-day charts. Best value for the money in my opinion.

    Appian Rushmore

I tried to install the drivers but wasn't able to do so. Since everything is working well otherwise, I've been reluctant to mess with it anymore.

    Appian Rushmore

I just got a Dell 4500, installed the Rushmore and hooked up a Dell 17" CRT and 2 Viewsonic Digital VG171b LCD Flat Panels. Only problem I have is that the computer doesn't recognize the monitors except as "default monitor" on the control panel so I haven't been able to "tweak" some of the Dell...

    Quicken QQL Replacement Candidate..

but the $19.95 E-signal and the $14.95 Nextrend seem to be much better options in. my opinion. For the money, I really liked QQL.

    Quicken to Esignal

Despite my complaining, I spent a few hours today trying to set up Esignal. And while it required more work than QQL, I don't think my layout is too bad now. There are still some things I can't seem to figure out, and though I liked my QQL layout better, I may be able to live with Esignal...

    What will replace Quicken?

Now that would be something if they ever got a reliable real-time service. Great indicators and end-of-day charts for now.

    Quicken to Esignal

In my opinion, QQL filled a void in the market. Yes -- QQL is basic and inexpensive but some of us prefer that.
