    Kelly sizing...

Your sentence doesnt make sense. And Murray is wrong because Kelly takes into account average win & loss and they dont have to be the same. And Murray is a vendor.

Keeping trading stats -- is excel the best way?

Been using excel. But a big problem is when u add and delete columns over time. The excel turns into a mess.

Why most pro traders are gamblers, and why risk control prevents success with OPM

Agree with the rationale, but would hesitate in drawing a parallel between pro-trader and fund-manager.

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

Yeah! lets all blame the conditions, instead of ourselves for not making our systems take into account conditions. Makes one feel so much better.

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

Darn, this is painful to see. It seems like, edges can go away or get smaller or you can stray from your system. For any of those reasons you can start having a losing streak. Then you think about reworking your system or decreasing size. But right then you hit a small winner. So you think...

The One Thing That Changed Everything In Your Trading

Thanks ESD for the post. May I ask. Before becoming a multiday swing trader, did you try to become a "daytrader" as in exiting before the close and making money daily?

Would you fund a trader to help him out?

Considering how many times I have thought I am over the hump only to find a new stumbling block the answer to the question would have to be no, based on the facts provided.

Sheepsuckers ES journal, rags to rices

Last week was up pointwise but BE moneywise. Really struggling with increasing size to any meaningful amount. Today I lost. Broke rules, really tried to win and think, instead of just executing. Now I should again get the feeling: "I lost trying to think and win, now it doesnt...

Sheepsuckers ES journal, rags to rices

Been basically breaking even the last weeks. Had one spectacular week, +60 fesx points and then after that some losing streaks. Been improving and specifying my plan constantly as I notice flaws with it. The latest thing I improved in it was stricter rules for exits, and specifically taking...

    CL Redux

NoDoji do you think it has helped your trading to focus on many different instruments? My thinking goes like this: -Most experienced traders say need to focus on one instrument to become an expert in it and know all the instruments tricks -The days when there are no setups in that primary...

Sheepsuckers ES journal, rags to rices

Been doing better this week. Started using a checklist before I take any setup. One problem I had was that I confused setup and context so one thing that was good in setup A and bad in setup B subconciously crept in as a good thing to look for in setup B and consequently a bad trade. Or...
