LOL... Acturally what do institutional traders use? Do they have mighty big projection on the wall for major index? (again, NASA control room type shit, LOL) Would be lame for an private trader rite? :D

The I think SD should be OK, with the monitor is on the wall instead of on the desk? Might need a rather dark room to do this? Would be good if your trading room is big enough..

Nitro, that's good advice, what about an update version for traders in the late 20s, who started on their own, and doing alright? (As I think it would be hard to get back into an office and work for someone else)

Friend does AutoCAD a lot, he just got an extra VGA cord to try to use CAD with a 37 inch TV in the living room, let's see how it goes, if it is good, then why not for securities charting?

Just like a 21 inch TV is too close at 3 ft, coz you try to see the whole picture, rite? But I guess it would be different with an monitor since you are trying to get info form a chart maybe half the screen etc?

Just them to call your firm, if you are profitable they will put in a good word for you. If you are not profitable, then you wouldn't want to pay rent every month anyway.

Staying in the place to trade is bad, hate sitting at the same place 9 to 4... Why not a monitor spliter and just set up 2 or 3 more monitors in the louge, so you can see the trade getting set up and run like a mad man back to the study to trade it? That's what I came to, as I am planning...

SD, If you leave it on the way and sit 6 foot away from it, it might look great. Think NASA.. One I was in Vegasoul's HK trading room, they 6 to 8 monitors per trader and 2 projection screens on the wall. (NASA style, but too small of a room) But if you want big landscape, maybe...

No disrepect Razorack, but the internal sales in China will not keep up with the loss of export. I am a chinese who ran around HK and South China for the 2 or 3 years before trading fulltime in HK. Manufacturing is still the lifeblood of the whole country, it won't change for the next 5 or 10...

maybe try a 30" LCD monitor instead of a 37" TV? how far are you from the monitor, SD? just to picture how you are using it..

With a bull trend you can hardly distinguish housewives and great traders. I even hear 50ish years old housewives telling their friend over the phone they need to be prepare to hold the stocks for 10 yrs? WTF is that? You see something like this all over the place in the last 18 months...
