    Just a rant

I may have a different perspective. On higher time frames, I don't actually see the market bouncing back and forth like a yoyo. I see markets running 1 to 2 days in a TREND. Here's last week's data for Gold...what do you see? We trade what we see. (Or we trade according to our perspective)

About 70% of breakouts fail, so technically there's a statistical edge. I trade every last one, especially in forex.

Price persistency and higher time frames. Price does not "turn on a dime" on higher time frames. As long as price does not break the pivot Swing High, where the stop-loss is located at, I'm not concerned.

    Just a rant

This is just one very effective setup that I've been trading over 15 years trading futures and forex. Apparently you seem to have forgotten I posted several live winning trades on this forum. If you fail to understand why the setup works, it might be prudent to humble your arrogance, and...

Concinnity is absolutely correct, it's fading a breakout. One of the easiest setups to follow and trade. On higher time frames/value it's a high probability trade since most breakouts fail. Appreciate all the responses.

Hallelujah Yes! See, just like you, I learned this from other traders. But, we still get a lot of people who exclaim no one shares what makes them successful. Not sure why people keep believing that. It's actually the opposite, that many do share what's successful, because it works.

Have you ever heard someone say, "No one ever shares their successful strategy?" I could show a dozen or more strategies from exceptional successful traders, but for brevity I'll just show one simple strategy. A strategy that dozens of successful traders have shown us over and over and over...

    NatGas market... the "widow maker"

Mr Cordier is still living like a prince in Tampa, Florida. Nor did he have to declare bankruptcy. I assume most of his own money was not at stake. Is that a Rolex he's wearing? Absolutely NEVER allow anyone to manage/invest your life savings.

Sometimes people show their complete ignorance if they think Professionals are not using TA. There is no algorithm anywhere on the planet that's not based upon some from of TA. And TA is not indicators, but tools used in the process of TA. Any technical level (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly S/R...

Yes sir, I usually look to fade a major S/R level. I'd say about 70% of time those breakouts fail, so I'm looking to short. If I get stopped out, I can always stop&reverse.

They trade the Markets as a unity, and not just looking at a small area of price. They are aware of price action in each session, (i.e. Sydney, Asian, London, New York) and focus their TA on that paradigm.

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Checking HTF (Higher Time Frames) most recent Swing High / Low is a good method of determining market flow & direction. Without a CONDITION for entry, (i.e. HTF S/R levels, Swing Reversals, liquidity dumps, etc etc) it can be difficult.

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

You assume they are teaching something difficult. They are not. All of what they teach is grade school simple. I'll just say this, I realise some have a negative attitude towards trading education. I bet none of them ever use the COT report, bond yields or the dollar index. All of which are...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Read & Study everything and attain a better understanding of market dynamics. It helps to develop a structured approach and know exactly why and when to trade. Just waiting for the market to move is not a game plan. (that's what 99% of losing traders do) Read and study everything from ...

I will not trade a setup that fulfills all my conditions, IF the momentum is too freaking slow. This trade looks perfect, and will probably continue down, but I want more momentum before I commit. If the momentum don't fit I wont commit.
