max401 , A lot of my posts are when I'm at work and there is nothing to do. Who cares how many times I post? Does it keep you awake at night? Live a little and let people do what they do. I used to post a lot to the Newsgroups but after I found this place, I knew it would be my new...

Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

Daniel, I'll go out on a limb here and say that, "A creator MUST exist." Now, using "God" would imply too much -- so we'll just say that yeah, God / Creator are interchangable, but I'm not referring to Christianity or Judaism. So, I debate with you that a creator must exist. Do you...

    The "Holy Grail"

Oldtrader, Thanks. As far as backtesting goes, I would throw that out along with the TA. If any backtesting is worth doing, it should be done manually in my opinion -- preferably in a fashion where you can't see the entire graph. I like to play back the previous week's activity and just...

First, let me start with saying this -- I could care less what you think. There is an "ignore" feature on this board -- I'm sure many have used it on me already. That's life. Some people naturally dislike others. However, it isn't my job to come here to be liked. Second, I start serious...

Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

Daniel_M, Just because God knows the past, present and future doesn't mean you are doomed to live it. Has it ever occured to you that God knows the quantum state of every possible occurance, yet has also given a random variable to human consciousness that let's us decide our eventual fate...

Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

daniel_m, More babble from a guy who's afraid of actually opening his mind to other people's opinions? It must be tough living a life where you are always right and everyone else is wrong -- for surely one day that will come back to bite you on the ass rather hard.

Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

daniel_m, Any god that can take an atom and give flavor to a can of soda and use that very same atom to give you consciousness is so far removed from simple human discussions, that to debate his existence or lack thereof is simply idle chit-chat from an organism that hasn't even begun to...

Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

Thunder, I've found that its very easy to know what is right and wrong in terms of absolutes. However, with life being so complicated, I find it much harder to know when it's right to be wrong, and when it's wrong to be right.
