Wannabe technical analysts seem to see "H&S all over the place", when they rarely work out as envisioned. However, this might be a genuine one... IF the neck line breaks and holds as resistance, it's likely negative for the market. FWIW...

That is total HOAGWASH! A "bottoms line" for a chart stands on its own.... there are no "different opinions". Agree about "coding for a trendline"... that's because there needs to be a "starting value"... and you don't know in advance where one will occur. IMV it's IMPOSSIBLE to code "Price...

"MA crossover" approaches to trading are simple, lazy, and always "late to the party". One can do better with lower risk. My rec is that traders learn "Price TA". While "MA cross" is always mostly about "what happened, on average, a ways back"... Price TA is about "what's happening right...

Here's another example of "trendline support holding". The original question in this thread was, "do trendlines work?". Well, they're not the "magic pill that works every time", but they work often enough and with favorable risk/reward that all traders should mark them on their charts and play...

I dunno about "best kept secret", but I endorse looking for another Precision laptop. I've got a Precision 7520. (Of course I didn't pay new price... bought it off lease for $350. Has 16GB RAM, 5GB VRAM, NVME drive, UHD display and 3-yr warranty... just like a new machine.)

Not "trendline", just more basic "buy support, sell resistance" Price TA off the same chart. 25 points up off of "up arrow support"... 25 points down off of "down arrow, matched high, resistance"... 50 points round trip... There's currently a "matched low at 4514... might be ANOTHER 25 points...

"Gambling" is where the odds are <50-50 for you, yet you try to prevail in spite. 0Dte options may be 50-50 in probability, but can be 3:1, or 5:1 risk/reward for those who know Price TA. KISS, Baby! :)

Here's a "trend support line" that HAS held/bounced. This is the technical place to play it. The "start" is all you get to KNOW... the rest you have to play by ear. Is it going to "stick" and be good? Don't know. If the line holds as support, it tells you something. If it breaks, it also...
