hollywood, You mention they "were reported..." Who reported them and what was the basis. The Fed numbers I looked at are found at: http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/DPI/. Are we talking about the same thing or was the series you refer to based differently? DS

IMO, if I understand the poll, is that should use your brainpower to research ideas and develop your trading plan. Then relax, listen to your favorite music, and let your plan make money and do not try to outthink it. Simply put, take the trades and honor the stops and exits. DS

Another BIG problem with TS is as noted by 50c, to get the software package and data, you got to open and fund an an account and in addition pay exchange fees. Or pay a very high monthly fee if you do not open an account. This means if you are not yet ready to trade and just want to develop...

Tradestation has a terrible short inventory even thought they clear through Bear Stearns. I checked the list of stocks(72) I trade and about 25% are HB according to TS while only a few are listed as HB with IB. TS claims they will improve this situation when they become self clearing...

Don't forget that TS's base fee of $100/month + exchange fees includes real time data. If you need data, then factor that in when you make comparisons. DS
