Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

We understand the math. Do you understand the ramifications of not being able to control the rate of converting mass to energy? If you don't, consult the history books on Hiroshima and Nagasaki for fusion's idiot half-brother's uncontrolled, incomplete and dirty conversion...

$25,000 minimum for daytrading needs to be changed

Not exactly. The Reg T rules you're referring to only apply to a cash account. If you close a trade that hasn't settled yet and you've not deposited the Reg T minimum to cover the trade you're freeriding and end up with an account that's frozen for 90 days. However, once the trade settles...

    RSI: Selecting the best period?

There's no such thing as a "fast" or "slow" RSI. Anyone who's taken the time to slap two of them on the same chart with different lengths can see that the shape of the indicator is preserved. It's the amplitude that gets attenuated with the longer period.

Policy makers trying to come up with a way for states to declare BANKRUPTCY!

Sound good but, if that were actually the case things would have unraveled a long time ago. Unlike the federal government, states and municipalities can't print their own money to finance their operations. That's why most bond indentures have a requirement of an escrow or sinking fund so...

Policy makers trying to come up with a way for states to declare BANKRUPTCY!

IMHO, the CDS issue is a worry because Washington didn't do enough to curb speculative abuse after the 2008 meltdown. Maybe if enough hedge funds pile on this time and push Illinois or California to the brink of bond default they might actually do something, but I doubt it, there's too much...

Policy makers trying to come up with a way for states to declare BANKRUPTCY!

One of the underlying tenets of the bond market, specifically revenue bonds like those from the MTA, is the "moral obligation" of the municipality, and ultimately, the state to backstop any shortfall. If that assurance didn't exist the ability to raise capital for these types of projects via...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

Dry steam at only 1°C above boiling? Sounds like bullshit to me. Dry steam is superheated and has a very low water vapor content, like around 5% or so. The minimum temperature for that is in the 300-400°F range.

    Understanding MACD

Your oversimplification misses on a couple of points. For starters, no where is Blau's book does he ever mention, much less create, a histogram ala the MACD histogram. Second, he explicitly defines the (not "an") ergodic oscillator on pg. 18: Ergodic Oscillator ...we shall employ a...

Steve Jobs is dieing...SHORT APPLE NOW!

Ah, dropping down into personal attack mode, are we? Now, that is pathetic... Point is, no one knows how what happened to the NeXT investors, bringing it up was pointless. There's no getting around the fact that the NeXT is to OSX just as much as the Lisa was to the Macintosh. Sure...

Steve Jobs is dieing...SHORT APPLE NOW!

So, you know for a fact that 1) every investor in NeXT was around for the buyout and 2) didn't dump their stock when AAPL dropped over 50% in the year after the buyout? Hadn't seen platform success before OSX? So, the AppleII and the Macintosh were both "marginal," is that it? Get a grip...

Steve Jobs is dieing...SHORT APPLE NOW!

If you asked the investors in Netscape and NeXT they'll tell you they don't give a flying frack about who gets credit for inventing something. All they care about is alpha on their capital.

Steve Jobs is dieing...SHORT APPLE NOW!

NextSTEP was not "BSD with a GUI." The *BSD's already had a GUI by the time the NeXT appeared; XFree86. NextSTEP was an entirely different animal based on the Mach kernel (Carnegie Mellon, not Berkeley) that happened to come with some userspace BSD code. Also, this isn't about fads. It's...

Steve Jobs is dieing...SHORT APPLE NOW!

Completely agree that Apple would be a footnote were it not for Jobs' return. However, his track record is hardly flawless, he's had his share of failures. His two biggest at Apple were the Apple III and the Lisa. And, then there's Next... But, if Next didn't go toe's up, Apple...

Here is a preview of the coming US dollar meltdown

Wow, now that's really sad... Seriously, SA, save yourself from wasting anymore time in trying to prove what we already know -- you have neither investigative skills nor journalistic integrity.
