so many people seeing it lower? if by so many people you mean me and a few others here on ET? everywhere you go the headlines are screaming now is the most opportune time to buy apple. nearly no professionals are calling for a lower apple.

i mean, i'd be willing to make a bet but its not just going to be whether im right or wrong. you need to make a call as well that I disagree with, and if neither one of us are right then the bet is a push. otherwise that's the easiest bet in the world for you to take. apple has already fallen...

Not trying to turn this into a pissing match, and i find it funny that you reported the stock is up 6$ since you posted, should i post next time it goes down 6$? would have expected more from you. bottom line is i have nothing invested in the call, you do. and i truly hope we all make money...

you did read the same earnings i read right? where they adjusted the next quarter - the xmas quarter, from what $15 down to $11 or something like that? thats like a 25% cut in forecast

well apple is finally feeling the heat from it's horrible earnings. it should hit $550 i think before it levels off and waits to see what the holiday season has in store

hsi tanking off poor US earnings. yet both apple and amazon are barely unchanged after hours.. just when you think you are finally starting to grasp something :confused:

the run from 705 to 610 was from a stale iphone5 and terrible ipad mini pricing, nothing to do with earnings.

ya, both amzn and aapl should be down huge right now, and were initially but both traded back to their EOD closes..serious manipulation going on here.

I disagree. Both products are fine and do what they are intended, but there's not enough excitement in them to get all the apple freaks' blood pumping like it has been the last several years.

don't know where you've been, but tech has already been moving down. INTC, IBM, MSFT, CSCO, they've all been getting crushed lately.

shameless plug but as posted in my journal on may 30th of this year i went from all cash to all back in long, it took the market 2 more days to find the bottom. i then sold everything on thursday and the market has dropped 500 pts in 3 days. Now I just need to work more on stock selection...

even so, why have you tried numberous times now to catch a falling knife? aapl is in obvious downtrend atm. wait until it reverses? why ride the way down with the thesis that it will eventually go back up. seems like a very emotional trade to me. you could have also said very similar stats...

people arent expecting a crash with QE3, presidential election. yadda yadda. honestly im not expecting a crash either. i just went cash because i dont really know what to expect and would rather be on the sidelines for a bit and see what happens. i dont mind missing the first 2-3% move in either...

exactly why i think it's possible. as stated in my journal. i went 100% cash yesterday right after the goog early earnings. happy i did that after seeing today :D

im up about 4% today from selling everything right after the GOOG crap yesterday. was going to stay cash longer but seeing some really decent buys out there and getting trigger hungry
