    Risk mitigation.

Oh I agree with you the insanity of it all, but you're assuming that its moving because of what is said. You really have no idea why its moving, just like these guys have no idea either, no matter how many wells they reference to see how much they are pumping, etc.

If you have a legitimate answer, why does it have to be through PM? Is it so complicated that it can't be typed out here? Even an overview would be fabulous to hear. I suggested an idea. Go long as he wants to, and yet buy some Puts in case it goes down instead. I'm sure you have a better...

    Risk mitigation.

I bet that if they actually provided us with some decent stats, we would see that their trades don't offer any better stats than what a technical trader can accomplish, and I bet that their use of options would also not prove any better at extracting profit from the market than the use of a stop...

    Risk mitigation.

Careful, you might have @Maverick74 and @bone mad at you! LOL.... I got into it with them a while back, hey.. it might have even been in your thread, about how I was suspect about fundamentals with reference to CL trading. They tried to make me feel stupid, saying I was just a retail...

    Risk mitigation.

Well there you go, your risk is the timing if it isn't the price level, but its all still the same risk nevertheless of never being sure. Its the same thing as taking a long in your example, and knowing when to exit the long and go short if you are wrong.

    Risk mitigation.

I should also add that it is my opinion that guys who trade options do so because they actually, secretly, without admitting it, have no idea what price will do next. They do these vertical spreads that limit risk, but also limit profit, which is essentially just taking a directional bet with a...

    Risk mitigation.

It sounds like what you want to do is to insure that you have no downside risk with only upside potential. Sound perfect, and yet I would assume impossible. I know we have our resident expert Handle123 who says all his long term trades are hedged, but of course he never shows exactly what this...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

If you are truly looking to learn, I think you're already shooting yourself in the foot by looking for a room that is trading multiple instruments. I'm not saying they can't be looking at a few things at the same time for correlation since price moves tend to be more neat when a few instruments...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

You want to talk to real professional traders and you can't even say what you trade or what your win rate is??? Jesus, I think you're going to save people lots of time by not visiting trading forums. :)

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

What will a mod verify? That you have no other account here? These days its so easy to change your IP and so it makes it impossible to verify anything. Surf has been getting by with dozens of aliases and going strong. Its highly unlikely that you just came to ET and found a thread about...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

Seeing as you just signed up, you have no credibility. You are obviously already a member here under another name, and this is either a bad thing or a good thing. I bet that if you called out some trades in real time and showed consistently good trading for only a week, you'd have lots of...

In what way? Your chat is filled or you gave up?

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

Wow.. those are some crazy numbers. Even 5% of account per trade is fairly risky, but of course this depends on your stats. With something like a 50% win rate on a 1:2 risk to reward, this wouldn't be so bad, but certainly moving up to 30% risk to only gain 10% is crazy indeed. I find the...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

I think in many ways its a pipe dream. I've gone down this road a few times and never stumbled across a group that I would saw was legit. Sometimes the reason was because there was no focus to the group, but often it was a case of the blind leading the blind. The good thing is that these...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

Yes, I had a feeling that this was cherry picked, so thanks for confirming. From what I read, many traders have also said that the markets have changed quite a bit from the time you actively traded last. Of course, depending on how a person trades, they may agree or disagree with this. How do...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

Impressive results. Out of curiosity, why are you only showing stats for one month all the way back from 2014? How was 2016 been for you? And how about the last 3 months? Also, it seems like much of your wins came from the last few days in April. Is this an anomaly?

What does "track" mean in the sentence "the fund tracked that index?"

Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't think the above answers were all that useful. I think the more appropriate answer is that "track" in this case should mean that the fund should be buying exactly the same things that are in the index in the same proportion. Now how they actually go about doing it...

    IB changing the Quote subscription

Here is what I had to do. At first, I just renewed the regular $10 package which ends up being free anyway when you do $30 in commissions per month. This works just fine for futures, but I noticed that stocks are now delayed, which is fine for me. But then I also had to renew the level 2 data...

Creating a group of REAL professional traders?

Totally agree. I find it funny how the OP wants to talk to other profitable traders, but we really have no idea who he is at all. I've been around for much longer than this account here, but the amount of fakery is truly outstanding. This place is nothing but bickering back and forth, and the...

    The S&P has topped

For the sake of following up the trade call, this trade of yours has been stopped out, correct? You do already have an amazing entry at your 2400 top, and an amazing exit at 2319, but I just want to make sure keep track of things properly. Will you continue posting if you take another position?
