    Is Capital Punishment ever justified?

A second victim has died. Maximum penalty is death. You could have easily looked it up. You also should have figured out that if desertion is punishable by death, murder would be. (Well publicized story of the execution of Pvt. Eddie Slovik .....book, movie.....you don't need to be Tommy...

[b] Yeah, you can always learn a lot from Mondo. He's the genius that said "half the damn Democrats in the country should be in prison for sedition". Pay real close attention to this guy's posts. Very worthwhile! Full of insight and brilliant observations. Peace, :)rs7

    How you guys do it?

start by looking in the newspaper for the list of most active stocks. Find the stocks in the list you like. Start trading a few. Then learn what other stocks are in the same industries. Developing a list of stocks to trade is the easy part. You will figure it out. Peace, :)rs7

    Schonfeld, ETG which is better?

Schonfeld pays on gross. Not worth the tradeoff of a slightly higher commission? (if a fraction of a penny makes a difference to your bottom line, you are most likely more interested in breaking even than having a positive p&l, so then getting paid on gross REALLY would benefit you). Peace, Rs7

I think we really did have an impact on the ending of Vietnam. Yes, it was tv and the media. But we brought the media to the issue. (BTW, Chicago was '68, not ,67) And if you remember, the rallying cry was "The Whole World is Watching"...so yeah, it was about getting attention and exploiting...

    Sick Feeling

Good post...touche! But still, the fact remains that literally millions participated in protests and marches and really did ultimately make a difference. And while it may be arrogant to say "we made a difference", it really is true. But the "we" are not to be patted on the back because "we"...

How Can It Be That The Spreads Are So Wide on OEX Options?

Nor do I. Actually I haven't looked at them in quite a while. But from what I have read here about the spreads, I am kind of stunned. When I was a MM, the typical spread was 1/16th on the close month, near or at the money options. To hear about $5 spreads is amazing. Peace, Rs7

How Can It Be That The Spreads Are So Wide on OEX Options?

Exactly right. I was a MM on the CBOE in the late 80's. There were hundreds of guys in the OEX pit. More OEX contracts traded than all the other contracts combined. Now, I would venture to guess the pit is virtually empty. For the reasons already stated. It's proprietary in an environment of...
