    Point Direx

I usually look at the Account Detail window in the morning for my buying power/balance. I kind of round off my daily P/L at the eod and it's always worked for me and matched their numbers. But...in this game of pennies I really should pay closer attention. Your post got my curiosity up so I...

    The Surf Report

Marketsurfer, Did you get stopped out in the morning over 1712 and re-enter the short below 1698 on the same day?....numbers didn't change? Thanks for your interesting posts.

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

Did I say that??? What I really meant was "I found shaving with my shorts off to be a priceless turning point."

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

Yeah, I can certainly see how it would make a big difference in the WCOM price range/volume. I don't play those but I suppose it can actually become the spread. I'm finding price shaving to be helpful in getting a short off at turning points. Vinigar: I think it's okay to write the SEC...

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

With Realtick I have the capability to integrate the ISLD book with my L2 but I haven't found an option for more than two decimal places. Since some ISLD traders are able to hide their orders the lack of extra decimals probably won't make too much difference to me because a lot of those...

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

Surprise, surprise! Neither of my L2s show three digits (not to mention...four!) Maybe I should reread my manuals...then again, four decimal places is probably too much thinking for me. Do you mind if I ask which software shows this? Also, what does ISB stand for? Thanks ps. I'll...

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

I'm using Pointdirex and it has the ability to hide ISLD orders. My TNMB w/ Realtick doesn't hide ISLD but it will allow hiding of size with ARCA (but you have to show something on Arca). For me, the hidden ISLD ability is somewhat useful for trying to slip in front of other ISLD traders...

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

I was refering to shaved unhidden ISLD bid/offers. Say for example 25.28x25.30. If I place an offer (not hidden) on ISLD of 25.299 it'll show on the L2 offer as 25.30. Both side's tickets will show the actual transaction price though. You're saying your L2 shows three digits to the...

    SuperMontage vs. ISLD Hidden Orders

Some of them could be hidden but an offer (for example) shaved by a tenth or so and not hidden still shows on the L2 as the whole number.

    Point Direx

[ After I have a little more experience with them I'll post over in the Broker review section. After only 1 week I don't want to jump the gun just yet. If this was a couple months into it though I'd be posting a very good review overall for Point Direx. [/B] Well, since you put it that way...

Level II quotes and the number of bids and asks for each ECN/MM

ARCA. After my brief look at Pointdirex last Thursday I'm wondering.... does DORS serve this same purpose? But it's limited to ecn's only right?...so you won't get the MM's or SuperSoes? I didn't get a chance to thank you for your time and I wanted to comment that the speed seemed nice...

Level II quotes and the number of bids and asks for each ECN/MM

I believe the original perceived advantage was that a trader is able to see the _depth_ of bids at, say, 30.10. You know, ISLD bidding 500 @ 30.10 - GSCO bidding 1000 @ 30.10 - MSCO bidding 1000 @ 30.10. Then you can see the next level under that. Say, ARCA bidding 1000 @ 30.09 - ISLD...

    TradeStation Securities announces new commissions

In comparing the price differences the pass throughs can make quite a difference. It really depends on how you route. The following table is from Pointdirex.... ** Pass Through Fees SOES And Selectnet Cancels: Broadcast Selectnet: Preferenced Selectnet: SOES: ** ECN FEES $...
