[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

Trust me I am not trying to debate just to debate, just want to be clear in what I am saying. There's people that trade larger accounts and make a living, that if you gave them a smaller account they would have an incredible tough time being profitable at all.

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

No there's no disputing this, If you have true edge and can profit on 1 contract you can on 50. What I am saying the opposite isn't true, people saying if you can profit on 50 contracts, than you can profit on 1, that's what I am debating.

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

I agree with no skill = possibly the same outcome. But I am not sure about if can't make it on a smaller account won't make it on a bigger one. Yes, there are different lifestyles, but most people have relatively the same basic cost of living. So someone trying to generate a livable income...

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

Very nice. I understand if you can't answer and also understand I am speaking in relative terms here. But did you find this out prior to having money? or did you already have money, than found this out? Not that it particularly matters, I've just noticed a lot of the best traders had money...

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

Ok, yes I totally agree with that. Depending on market pattern or strength however you define it, certain setups are much more efficient to take than others and sometimes best to 100% avoid a long or short in certain scenarios. 100% agree

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

Well, sometimes I am dumb and don't understand things. But it seems like we're all agreeing here? Or maybe I am the one making contradicting statements by accident. But this is what I am saying the signals(in my experience are very similar) IE bull and bear setups are the same. That...

Who else is finding this the best intraday trading market in years

Yeah I kind of agree with this. Long setups working well(obviously). But I have same issue, don't have the balls, ignorance, skill or whatever someone considers it to go heavily long, can't risk being stopped out or some odd event happening.

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

It's like saying " Well no, your statement is dumb, I have a buddy who buys a "X" moving average everyday and looks for certain profit". There's nothing wrong with that at all, it can be very valid, but that's relying on market bullish bias(which again nothing wrong with that). His...

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

I can agree with this, but I mean if your strategy heavily relies on markets being bullish, there's nothing wrong with that and in fact been smart lately and working well. But if we're going by actual signals, like using probability or mathematical calculation to make your trades, in my...

[POLL] Are Bullish and Bearish Day Trading patterns Unique OR Similar ?

There's not an extreme difference not in my experience but markets are naturally bullish bias. So, unless market is extremely bearish, longs will typically be easier and pay more than shorts, speaking particularly regarding equities here. I'll just list some of the reasons why I feel this way...

R Programming for Traders, Helps small traders compete with Hedge Funds

na, everything i do is manual. all the successful traders I know currently only manually trade, but some of them do code and have the ability to do automated back testing or automate there strategies, but they haven't yet.

R Programming for Traders, Helps small traders compete with Hedge Funds

Let's put it this way, if we find a strategy that good and trading so large that bigger people want to take advantage of us, it's safe to say we probably already made it.... and have fair amount of money.... lol

R Programming for Traders, Helps small traders compete with Hedge Funds

well I am by far an expert, so anyone with more expertise will hopefully correct me. But no, not that small. It wouldn't make sense for them to go out of there just to get your 2-3 lots, I mean doesn't mean you wont get stopped out just due to the normal fray of the market ofc, but it wouldn't...

R Programming for Traders, Helps small traders compete with Hedge Funds

The reason whatever they found stops working is because people and other firms are picking up on what they are doing(due to these guys likely trading fairly large size). So, as soon as it's discovered bigger players will actually trade against it, effectively turning their winning strategy into...

What kind of approach can make you INSANELY rich?

Yeah for majority of people, can certainly agree here.

What kind of approach can make you INSANELY rich?

it seems your argument is more you don't believe it's plausible to have an extreme edge in trading or pick up on repeatable patterns in the market. Because with this it's only a matter of time turning $5k into millions, with how much time depending on how strong your edge is. I have to...

What kind of approach can make you INSANELY rich?

Well oddly on this one I am kind of torn on who to agree with. at least for the $5000.00 to a million this is totally Unrealistic for a new trader or a trader who all he has is $5000.00. For someone who has an extreme edge and is well funded $5000.00 to a million is relatively...

How many strategies do you Test

Not asking you particularly to answer that, I just can't imagine why you wouldn't so I am asking this ahead of time incase someone decides to answer yes so they will tell me why.

How many strategies do you Test

If you have one strategy I mean unless it's satisfying all your goals and financial needs and it's been effective for decades, outside of that why and really even than why would you not look for other strategies that may have less drawdown, higher profit factor or even that may allow you to...
