This is where you continually miss the point. It's not really about the trading loss, the trading loss is a symptom (other than Dick Bove, who gives a shit whether its $2B, or $6B, or $9B). What you have with the big banks are a bunch of (now) well-capitalized zombies that through normal...

Who's buying BCS this morning.:p  :D :p  Rigging the world's most important market. No biggie here. Banks are going to be buried in litigation over this for the rest of our lifetimes.

Central planning rules the world. Tough to find a lot of alpha in this environment, so bored traders instead pull out their dicks for measurement. For now, I'll continue to stick with cheap big caps paying me well more than the 10-year Treasury yield for my money as they buy back shares, and...

Hell, keeping responses to 100 words or less would solve pretty much everything. darkhorse doesn't seem like a bad guy, either does that goc dude, but my mind quickly drifts off to golf, or baseball, or porn within the first sentence or two of their posts. How about a tasty trade idea once in...

Useless info. Euro had a range of $1.2700 to $1.2550 today. Did you add to the short before or after the 150 pip collapse (I think I know the answer). I'll assume EWH had a large range as well and was added to closer to the lows than the highs.

Ok. So JPM is back down again today. Does that make all those who are not you right again? I'm losing track.

Even after a big bounce, the shares remain well lower than the level they were at. Those who sold the news (and maybe bought back later) were absolutely right. Listen, be a douchebag to me - I really don't care - but stop being such a prick to the rest of the population.

Pretty much all of the mortgage REITs have declared Q2 divvies. No cuts and a few hikes ... ATMs. NLY still the most conservative of the bunch. For those that want more aggression, try AGNC. Not an owner myself anymore, but Kain is a badass.

Thought I was on ignore. I'm not selling, not buying. Have never owned the company. I like Ackman, but buying a company because some rich guy (even a very brilliant one) does is not how I roll.

Am I the only one hoping for a clear ND victory on Sunday to set off a major fadeable risk rally on Sunday night? I remain long EURCHF, well-aware a clear Syriza victory on Sunday could overwhelm the SNB floor. I think it's a rather small chance, though.

ND and Syriza will form a coalition and are already (behind the scenes) divvying up government positions. HKD spiked higher (then fell back) overnight as Lam (who brought the peg in) says it may no longer serve the public interest.

Gains are being given up because like every other bailout for the last 4 years, you can't solve a problem of too much debt by piling on more debt. This is truly sad and pathetic and I feel for the people of Spain who just took on another €100B of obligations to make sure senior bank...

Yes. And cap rates are higher in North Philly and Norristown than they are in Gladwyne. Rental yields are just a starting point. There are other costs involved with buying real estate in an area you do not live in or are not familiar with. On the other hand, someone on this thread is...

PBOC first and now the Beard on tap. How bad must things be in China right now. Beijing seems to be in more of a panic than Hank Paulson in summer 2008. Not only the rate cut, but they suspend implementation of capital rules for banks, and are pushing through infrastructure projects that...

I've been involved with rentals for over 25 years - worked my way up from slums and student housing to nicer suburban properties where 99-100% of the rent due shows up in my post office box within the first 3 days of the start of the month.:) Assuming one has access to reasonable financing...
