Which ones do you use? Also I'm looking for a breadth indicator that tells me how many stocks are making new highs v.s new lows, can anyone steer me in the right direction on what I'm looking for exactly?

For example, lets say I wanted the data for the RSI (Relative Strength Index) for the last 6 months into a excel spreadsheet... does anyone know where I can find data like this?

    The Theory of Edge Diminishing

What did I convince you of? My objective isn't to convince anyone of anything lol, I'm just simply curious of this concept. Since "edge" is such a loosely vague important term us traders throw around on these forums, I thought of edge diminishing when more people trade a certain strategy and it...

    Open Interest/Volume

Do you guys look at open interest at all? I mean if youre trading just the most liquid products then of course you don't need to, but what about trading more illiquid stocks that still offer options, what type of open interest or volume do you need to see at least to enter the trade?

Short Put Spread? Why not just a Long Call Vertical?

i'm aware of boxarb, I'm just speaking in a real trading sense, lets say youre bullish on AAPL and your choices are a short put spread/long call spread, which would you choose, and why?

Short Put Spread? Why not just a Long Call Vertical?

I'm starting to wonder, what makes you guys decide whether to sell a put spread or buy a long call spread? Does it have to do with implied vol and other vol measures? Seriously though why would anyone choose the short put spread over the long call spread?

    The Theory of Edge Diminishing

Well of course, you can only scale down so low until your at 1 millisecond charts and that's stupid. And its not a matter of "accepting" anything, read Mandelbrot, this is old news man.

    The Theory of Edge Diminishing

The market is fractal. What you see in one time-frame occurs in all. Longer-time frames have and build the emphasis/setups for the shorter time frame. Find which time frame best curtails to your personality and strategy.

    Books on Options Trading

Euan Sinclair just tweeted that he finished writing his new book. Not sure its title or exact topic (i'm sure and hope options) But his other books Volatility Trading and Option Trading are great books and I suggest any aspiring trader who wants to trade options read his books. Yes it can get...

    Risk Management: Stock

Okay but do you bend rules? For example lets say a set up occurs and you a very confident in your assertion/bias on a trade, do you then allocate a higher percentage to this trade because of your confidence? I know its bad when you think you know something but I know you understand what I...

Are options inherently a short-term trade?

I agree but I'm not talking about selling 1-month ATM Straddles. I'm talking about buying/selling far out in the term structure, maybe 6 months to a year out.

    Risk Management: Stock

How do you guys approach risk with stock trading? Lets say you had a $10,000 account and trade <$10 stock price. How much per trade would you allocate to each trade? I know this depends on % goals and trading style, but just in general how much % of 10k would you trade each position with?

    The Theory of Edge Diminishing

I've always enjoyed gambling/trading similarities and metaphors. But the odds/payout of lets say blackjack is different than trading Snapchat. Very different in fact, yes the market adjusts but so do you as a trader.

    The Theory of Edge Diminishing

I really like your examples, and they make sense in my brain, but something about it doesn't seem "reality like" to me. You're explaining a best-case scenario, assuming people will trade your strategy through the cyclicality of markets and trading the same underlyings as you (highly unlikely)
