    Trade station down again?

That might work when your data goes down, but are you sure it works when TS's goes down. Are you sure bracket orders go to the exchange(e-mini's) upon entry or are they held on TS's server ?

TradeStation - give me the real picture

    1) Yes 2) Yes, you can create your own symbol for this 3) Yes 4) I believe all of your information is only held on your PC.

TradeStation - give me the real picture

Three points regarding TS: 1) It is a CPU hog and you might need to upgrade processor speed/cpu's every 12 months or so, as each new version seems to require more speed/fsb, etc. If you don't use many customized indicators nor need to use automated trading, you might be "okay" for awhile...

Are you ready for the trifecta?

Actually, these markets have lots of opportunities. You just need to get "right" the market you're trading.

Are you ready for the trifecta?

#1 is occuring now. If #3 takes place over the next week, it is going to be very ugly for world financial markets.

Are you ready for the trifecta?

Aren't you the guy that mentioned there was nothing wrong with WaMu because you still saw their TV commercials, back in November when it was trading in the 20's? At some point I suspect you will discover, as I did many years ago, that markets are priced based upon peoples expectations of the...

Are you ready for the trifecta?

    1) Oil looks like it is ready for a new leg up after this bull flag has completed 2) EC looks like it is ready for another leg up, too 3) Sometime this summer, WM,HBAN,FITB, or another large regional bank will admit it can no longer function without a merger or help from the Fed Once...

    er2 and the russell rebalance

This is really making the few days before the rebalance wild. er2 is moving 7-10 ticks while the es just trades at the same bid/ask. I've had 2 trades this morning where my bracket target (15 ticks) was filled within seconds of entry. Good Luck to all :)

    Bright trading and any thoughts

Bright is on the level and one of the most honest places you could find to do business. "....and their not stupid" is pretty funny (their....they're). Sorry to pick on your spelling Don, but you gotta admit, that is funny.

    Opening Orders - 2008

This strategy was originally devised as a way for you to trade exactly like the specialist/market maker. The specialist is finding a balance point to open the stock. When that balance point is beyond the "fair" value, as compared to the balance between the S&P futures and the S&P cash, you...

Over/Under on when WaMu goes down

Line should probably be over this weekend. Either a forced take-over directed by the fed or a complete failure which would probably put the market into mini crash mode.

    DUG down 4% clq08 down 2% ???

yep, looks like it. hard to believe someone doesn't have a single and double short "oil".

    DUG down 4% clq08 down 2% ???

Thanks. I believe DEE is a double short commodity fund rather than a short or double short crude play. I'm looking for the opposite of "oil", either single or double short.

    DUG down 4% clq08 down 2% ???

DUG seems like a very poor vehicle to play the short side of crude. Anything better that you can take a straight long position in (this is for an account that cannot trade futures, options, or short) ? Thx

Is anybody out there an expert with TWS' BookTrader?

Are you saying that book trader will allow you to ie: 1) Trade a 3 lot and have different targets on each lot and move the stop after each target is hit without entering 3 different bracket trades? 2) Auto move the stop to break-even after a certain profit point is hit? I think book...

Is anybody out there an expert with TWS' BookTrader?

your hot keys are set up (I think) for a bracket order when clicking with the alt key pressed. i changed mine, so that i have the bracket orders on the left click of the mouse only (no need to press alt key). it's a breeze. the draw backs vs bracket trader are 1) no trails 2) no b/e...
