    tampa's "short skirt" trades...

for comics starting out on tv recently. Basically, do it all the time and get enough material for more than just a few minutes. I figure you're close to 50 so you better get crackin' or is THIS your start? Seriously, I think talking about your 23 year losing streak could give you excellent...

besides, I've always been interested in short skirts. I for one would like to see a comic forum here also. You would certainly become a star there. But does it pay well?

"Another problem for new members is that many are looking for a cut and dry system One with specific entries, exits, and stops. But that’s not what this is about. It is subjective, VERY subjective..." Specific is the key word here. Interesting that the threads with the most replies have...

mentoring-- a waste of time ??

This has me worried! Trading attracts people who want to get rich quick. People who gravitate to the markets with this goal in mind soon fall into the trap of wanting someone to tell them what to do. It could be either a mentor or an endless series of indicators that don't work or so called...

mentoring-- a waste of time ??

then Louis Borsellino comes to mind. He was mentored by either the famous cattle trader, Maury Kravitz who almost blew out after 4 limit down days or the gold trader who's name escapes me. Tom Baldwin, the bond trader, was mentored by a "friend" who arrived at the CBOT shortly before Baldwin...

    Daytrading article.. Nypost

"If this is so true then why is it all the rich peope I know are long term investors and all the poor people I know are daytraders? Also, why is the Forbes 400 full of long term investors and not one single daytrader? Hmm, interesting. Btw, you don't have to answer the question, I already know...

    House Prices in Florida

in Florida. They are temporary until something comes along and blows them away. Not to mention 6 million alligators and horrible bugs, etc. etc. NO state income tax, though. How can you compare San Diego and Florida? Apples and oranges! Living in Florida is a terrible price to pay to...

    tampa's "short skirt" trades...

"The market place can humble a man unlike most any other – with the possible exception of his own home. The truth be known, I am in what is referred to as a drawdown – the twenty-third year of a drawdown." Pretty funny imitating a hypothetical losing trader. LOL That last post by...

    True Legendary Trading Stories

Louis had been on vacation, I don't remember where, but he wasn't there Monday. He was Tuesday...and in a big way. As the market was about to open, paper was offering 200 lower than the close. Almost without hesitation Louis bellowed, "I'm 300 lower!" Paper countered with 400. The exact numbers...

The Before The Bell Calls w/ TraderBrad

to break my addiction to ET I have to go cold turkey with the exception of the chit chat forum which is great. Like I stated before, I don't think there is much constructive trading going on here and I believe, anyone would be foolish to "share" what has taken perhaps years to develop unless...

Now that we don't have TB to kick around

wdscott, I nominate dbphoenix- he has more posts and way more quotes. I don't trade the ES nor the open. I caught hell for diverting attention away from trading last week due to the TB debacle. If I don't knuckle down tomorrow morning I'm in big trouble on more than one level. There's only...

Now that we don't have TB to kick around

the ES here? What a shame. dbPhoenix, why don't you show them how it's done? You must have learned something from all those quotes you throw around. Most of the stuff you spew, doesn't seem all that much different from TB. At least TB had a "movie"- we could get popcorn. What do you eat...

    Soybeans

Mike, now I see what you mean about TB stealing your stuff. You mean the movie like yours, right? Not only is yours better, it is for real and ahead of the market- not after the fact. Slight difference!

The Before The Bell Calls w/ TraderBrad

Marketsurfer: It's the CFTC that the real commodity trader would be concerned with- not the SEC, but you knew that. It's a true story btw, I was dissed by this commodity trader whose name I don't even know! Just a nameless guy- what can I say? Why don't you share some of the wisdom from...

Now that we don't have TB to kick around

Mikecully: been 20 years since I traded soybeans. Closest I've come to them is Lean Hogs about 2 years ago- got tired of the "slippage". Once I met those hog traders at the Merc, I've hated them ever since. They just stand around and wait to stick it to you when you place an order.
