Would you act on a 'by-the-book' confirmed buy (long) signal in a negative market like we currently experience, or would you stay away and find a good short-setup instead? How much emphasis do you put on the generel market conditions compared to single stocks? My BKI chart (with a very...

Susukino, hang in there. I first saw the light after studying channels and gaussians for 3 months or so. Trust me, it's worth the effort. My portfolio is up +13% since the 1. of november. In retrospect I can see I made a lot of stupid mistakes, hence i'm re-reading Jack's...

Jamey, The 'original' stuff in the first journal is a long-only strategy. Somewhere in journal II Spyder switched to using channels and gaussians to specify entry and exit points. By using these tools instead of indicators, you get short as well as long signals. I recommend taking a look...

Went short in TRCR today @ $17,96. A possible FTT a couple of days ago followed by a R2R.

Susukino & Haroki, I'm curious about what level/rules you're trading with. My understanding is that Journal I dealt with only stocks in DU. I have traded with Journal I rules a couple of months over the summer (bad timing..), and been looking into channels and gaussians for a couple of...

Thanks for the update on your FU Spyder. Here's my OPXT chart from today. Looks like we might have experienced a R2R, will put it on my watchlist for the next couple of days.

Haroki, thanks for posting your trades/charts :) Very inspirational. A quick question: On your FMCN chart from today (9. oct.), you have a gaussian that looks like this: \ / \ / BRRB It is my understanding that a R2R only can look like this: \ / Am I missing something...

I have been looking into the more advanced methods, gaussians in particular. In the writen material as well as the IBD videoes, it is mentioned that R2R happen at the end of an uptrend and B2B happen at the end of an downtrend. I have, however, seen several examples of a R2R at the end of...

Now that we have passed EOD, it's time for me to look at my "performance" today. As mentioned in my post just above this one, I sold ICOC at 11:30@9,71 due to not reaching average volume. After my exit, it went up nice and easy for the rest of the day for a total of +14%. I can't help wondering...

I bought FTK and ICOC using beginners method. I bought them both at 1045, when it looked like they would reach average volume by 1130. At 1130, FTK made it past average volume, so I continue to hold. Will check for FRV when I do my nightly analysis. ICOC didn't made it (average volume wise)...

LittleMac, I use Yahoo Finance for the 3 months average: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=FRG What Wealth-Lab scripts are people currently using? Myself, I use: - Hershey Equities Rank SCAN v. 1.0.0 - Hershey Equities Dry Up Volume Scan v. 2.0.0 (Three Month) - Hershey Equities...

Well, right now I'm using 11:00, but I'm looking into other options, 11:30 being one of them. I believe Spyder changed from 11:00 to 11:30 when he started with the LBDU stuff. I'm very interested if anyone has done some analysis/statistics about which time equels the lowest amount of risk. My...

LittleMac, When you use LBDU as a indicator, you tend you get a lot more signals (hence also a lot more false ones) than if you were using just DU. Because of that I switched to using the DU value myself.
