    Best way to learn Python?

I'm teaching myself computer programming... vb, php, java, c#, c++, python, assembly, etc. the works, at the same time. The best way to learn: 1. coding 2. studying other peoples code 3. reading Books can only teach you so much. Untill you involve all your senses, such as brain in...

Journal of index futures trading [Part 2]

Me: How'd you manage do lose that much money you f***ing retard? Myself: I really liked to hold onto losing trades, and for some reason I'd take profits as soon as I saw them. Me: Well, let's see, you haven't made any money yet, and you are a loser. It sounds like something you should...

For Intel P55 motherboards 8 Gig performance Ram after rebate $20

Missed the head of the nail... benchmarks are for no more than e-piss fight rights... like what's going on in this thread. There, I read closer... so apparently CPUs have CAS latency  ?

For Intel P55 motherboards 8 Gig performance Ram after rebate $20

What you nerds were arguing over (cas 7 vs cas 9) is not noticible to the human eye.... While you're debating these trivial things, I ordered a ssd... That's really what you should be arguing over. The difference in load times is actually noticible (I had a raptor 300gb 10k rpm before). Not...

how to decide on trading method, time frame and instrument

Mixing humor with advice in a place where tone, mood, facial expressions, character, etc. are left out makes it difficult to distinguish between the two.

Journal of index futures trading [Part 2]

Around ~21k (+110%) this morning. I went through my monthly statement for November. I'm quite a bit happier with the way things turned out. My commissions totaled ($122.61). My broker can't even pay his utility bills with that  . I'll post the trade breakdown when I get home and...

    Global Macro Trading Journal

I'm curious why you would include your total net worth in return calculation. Why inflate the denominator by money you aren't even using to make in the numerator? Doesn't make sense to me. What issues have you run into with scalability? It doesn't seem like you're scaling very much...

    SATA Failure Rates

I have never (in 6 years) had a hard disk fail on me (I have about 7). Most all are WD. I've owned mostly SATA few IDE. If there is an issue with a HDD, it was from the beginning. I would recommend switching brands or going SSD if you can afford it. No moving parts = faster and longer life...

Journal of index futures trading [Part 2]

@ ~18k (+80%) Since Jun I've cut back all size to one contract. When I day trade full time, I will most likely size up. That will be a few years from now most likely. I will have a much larger account size then (I imagine at least 50k), as I'm working full time right now. At the moment I...

What just happened to the euro

This is a repeating pattern... most books talk about this types of manipulation. As a trader, what should you do with it though?

I'm long the EUR from last night, but I sold out my ES long before this 5 minute spike. Too much dumb money in Equities right now... and the smart player's aren't buying it...

You're conclusion is false. If turkey had an effect on the brain, how did I still made out like normal today...?

    Nightime Volume vs Daytime Volume

The two worth mentioning are supply and demand, but I think because of the globalized world some markets are linked price-wise. Therefore the impact of supply and demand would come from many sources rather than just one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
