+$1.50 so far on NTES...
That's the problem with fundamentals and indicators. You never know when they are going to kick in and do what they look like they're supposed to.
Ironic... I just bought some shares of NTES today at $29 toward the end of the day.
It is only 4 days from its high and made a nice bounce out of the low 28.30 range.
I'll see what it does tomorrow.... Hopefully you won't be right until after then.
Harvard, huh?
Where in Cambridge did you live? What streets is the campus on or near? What are some of the mainstay restaurants or spots around campus?
Also, I don't see a nuclear fission PhD program on Harvard.edu. Please post a link.
Thanks.
Alright...
Thanks for uploading the spreadsheet. I calculated the 200 EMA using a slightly different formula:
(Today's Close * percent) + (Yesterday's Moving Average * (1 - percent))
(where percent is equal to your smoothing factor). I came up with the exact same numbers as you...
I've been using the MyTrack API for a couple of years now. I use it only for data, not for brokerage functions. It is mostly reliable and fast, quite cheap, and the API is decent. There's also good peer support in a Yahoo Group.
Let me know if you need more detail or have any other questions.
I would guess that no one clicked "kill" on them. Moderators tend to respond to kill requests, and that has been outlined as the way to get action taken.
There are some candlestick patterns that seem to be relatively successful at indicating reversals for periods of 20, 30, or 60 minute bars (smaller periods give too many false signals):
Three Inside Up
Three Inside Down
Three Outside Up
Three Outside Down
Evening Star
Morning Star...
