I think it might be a college class in a foreign country trying to get the perspective of American economists, one person found us and then told his/her other friends and everyone is using our site for their info. It looks like their registration has died off thus most likely their project is...

Also, if you are just surfing the site and are not logged in you will get the Greenwich Mean Time and not your local time, this is a feature that comes into play when you log in. Joe

Although this is not what you want, you could do it in 2 steps instead of just one. For instance, clicking the thread tittle is Step One, and Step 2 is clicking the link that says "Go To Last Page". Two Steps instead of 1 and they are moderately large areas for you to click on.

Some people get confused on how it is displayed, however with 8,000 posts I could be wrong. Go to this link, then at the bottom it says, "Show threads from" change this to "the beginning", or another date other than the current one that is displayed...

I understand what you are saying, but that is what the quote button is for. Like shown above. This way you don't have to search for post 47 its right above your response. Also as I have done above, you can edit it down if you only want to talk about one line in the whole post.
