Romik, That was just a knee jerk to the airplane crash in NYC, though...not FOMC. Sure, FOMC minutes led things lower a bit, but that was definitely from the plane crash. It lasted for all of like 1 minute or something insanely short. Would one seriously take that kind of a spike into...

Thanks Gary. I guess the whole thing confuses me because the market seems so crazily overbought right now, at tops of trend channels and all that... I just don't know how the bulls can be so resiliant for much longer, personally. Won't there eventually be no more sellers to sell to the buyers...

And what brings you to this conclusion?

please excuse my economics ignorance...but why would the market seem to love it if the trade deficit widens to yet another record high? Just curious...this market always seems to stump me :)

Thanks. I usually get weirded out if it's not there in 15 minutes...in markets like this though, trading is tough anyways. Got stopped out of 2 out of the last 3 trades this week, so I'm done until we see some trending.

Do you guys use time stops at all? If so...how long are you in a trade before you say...to hell with it?

I was short ER2 at 743 and got out at 742.10 as it was just hunkering down there and I didn't wanna see it go up. I get a little leary when it just sits at a price for more than like 3-4 minutes.

Some food for thought... With a blowoff in the markets, I read that there is usually a fairly significant correction to the uptrend and then one last hoorah that brings every retail investor and their father into the market, buying up whatever they can. Then...comes the beginning of the bear...

Whats the saying...buy the rumor and sell the news? News all over the place is how this market is crankin'. Makes me reluctant to take longs on ER2. Anyone else feel hesitant to go long at all? Or is it just my immature emotions?

Another question I have, Romik. It seems strange to me that the markets are running up so hard with things not looking so good. Especially with...the nasty Wal Mart showing slower sales. That makes me super happy, though...Wal mart is the devil...
