Its a picture of my first system (1996) that I designed as an interactive game. Its being used by over 1100 people around the world and it was called "MAGUS CHRONOSTOCK 1000". After that it was MAGUS RTN (real time stock navigator) and many others till I sold my company to its present owners.

Actually, the mouse scrolls across only 4 monitors (on the bottom)

We have a small replica of all the screens on our control panel (the third monitor from the left on the bottom four monitors). So, the mouse doesn't go anywhere except one monitor that controls the rest.

Don't be. It took so much of blood, sweat and tears .... The software was a bitch! The whole thing kept on crushing for a few months. Believe me, it was hell to make it run! :D P.S. I'm not rich, my friends are :)

We run two SQL's and filter data within 15 min max. We only store 15 days worse of data. The rest gets backed up on DVDs

The change of focus is done by either mouse click or by voice (we used standard Microsoft voice recognition Active X control). The arrangement of chains is standard: Underlying is in the middle, 5 possible calls on the top and 5 possible puts on the bottom. The chains are changed automatically...

The trading process looks something like this: First, our robotic system does the latent semantic analysis of the securities we are trading to determine an overall sentiment for the security. Then the system produces possible entries on the underlying and related option chains to produce...

Our trading style is completely different. We do not switch between the stocks to often, so we dedicated each of the upper 20 screens to specific stocks. The bottom 4 screens deal with the info you mentioned.

We use multiple redundant data feeds including eSignal, DTN and direct Nasdaq. Most of the software is ours. We use IB API to route the orders as well as some alternative execution platforms.
