    Support & Resistance levels , and moving averages are just meaningless lines on the chart.

    MA's are tools, some make use of them and some don't. I use them as geographical reference points and dynamic S/R. When my 20ema is flat, I am flat (unless it's a zone entry off a measurable leg)...some will scalp ranges, I don't.

    The thing with reversal patterns, H&S, Wedges, DT's, DB's is they have the potential to reverse. They can just as easily evolve into a trading range or in the case of your example, form a flat base bear flag and continue down. Good risk/reward as a tradeoff for likelihood of successful reversal...

    If you've done the heavy technical study and testing then you may know how to trade. The trading itself is a whole other ball game and where listening to guys like Eric Thomas, Eddie Pinero, Jocko Willink and David Goggins can be of great value.

    There are any number of ways of looking at the same thing. A mathematician will see it as a math issue. If one is analyzing hundreds if not thousands of issues, it would be hard to argue it's not the most efficient way given robust modeling.

    20% of what? Cash on cash or levered capital? Cash on cash, highly unlikely. levered capital, sure, that and more but it requires a lot of experience, skill and discipline.
