    Why do you enjoy trading?

It's only enjoyable in a mentally self-tortuous sort of way, or the way an addict would find his drogas of choice enjoyable.

    Why do traders fail?

Whatever "method" or "pattern" or "inefficiency" one uses to make money in the markets currently, one can always rest assured that something will change in the markets that will render that strategy unprofitable or far less profitable. The difficulty for the trader is to be able to see the...

    Why do traders fail?

That dude has way too much time with nothing to do. Real traders don't write so much meaningless drivel.

    Why do traders fail?

How about the simple but shocking concept that traders fail because the market is very efficient.

Sold Deep OTM Puts that Became Deep ITM - let it assign or roll over?

Just gtfo of the trade. If or when you are losing massive amounts of money, you are losing your objectivity, then that's when trading is the most dangerous.

Seasonal tendency so far not playing out in gold

The reason I posted when I did was that I saw gold right at the up trendline from late June lows. I had a vague feeling that it wasn't going to hold. Overnight futures again looking fairly ugly in precious metals land. Seems that the June to August rally was driven primarily by short covering in...

    Why do you enjoy trading?

It's not really enjoyment per se, but an obsession.

Seasonal tendency so far not playing out in gold

I'm reminded of the old Jake Bernstein late night infomercials telling you that you simply buy on this date and sell on that date to make an "easy" seasonal tendency profit ... not.

AAPL is now lower than when Carl Icahn made his infamous tweets.

The market is certainly very good at humbling any inflated egos. Other smart phone makers see AAPL's fat margins and can easily see room to undercut. They have run out of new Istuff to sell. Icahn won't make a difference. Financial engineering is the end for a tech giant when they have to...

Seasonal tendency so far not playing out in gold

Historically September is strong, but not this year so far.

AAPL is now lower than when Carl Icahn made his infamous tweets.

I read that even Apple's new low price point phone is still too expensive. Their profit margins are headed on a one way down street. Icahn can't do anything for AAPL' s share price in the long term.
