    i found the holy grail

What do you consider high frequency trading? Also, I'm not understanding: Do you use T and S and bars build with tick data or just bars built with tick data?

Why do you prefer futures and commodities? Also, what Wyckoff methods do you use when scalping futures?

    beginner prop strategies

Do you try to determine a trend by HH and LH? What periods do you find useful for MAs? Just so I'm not only asking questions, I tend to use two HH with HL before saying it's an uptrend, then enter on the pullback (not below the trend). I haven't been using MAs for a while, which is why I...

    beginner prop strategies

Nice post. Agreed about different strategies. I tend to use Price Action to define trends and identify entries and exit. I also use S/R. What strategies do you recommend or do you find yourself using when daytrading. Do you just follow price? Do you use other metrics, like MAs or Volume?

What is in your opinion the best material for learning technical analysis?

Like Ironfist, I'd like to hear more as the main forums on ET focus a lot on PA and TA. Are you saying you try to find an edge based on a mathematical formula where you plug in changing prices and volume? Or are you using something that's both quantifiable and discretionary?

How will AHG do in the years when the market recovers (with low volatility)

If you're using the AHG method outlined in that long thread, you should move past it. Anek really doesn't use those methods anymore. Just check out his more recent posts. I'm working with a friend, who's been using what is basically AHG but with the components that the AHG thread leaves...

    i found the holy grail

Hey fractals, good post. That's what I constantly see around here. I like real PA analysis, but around here, it's always after the fact. No one ever posts their thoughts on the chart as they were making their decisions based on their rules. Like, hey I can see to enter on that pullback in...

    i found the holy grail

Along with the other comments that this strategy doesn't take into account real trading, I'd add that we can't comment on it because there isn't enough posted about it. So let's end this discussion and turn to trading strategies that give us some meat on the bones.

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Yes, she can be replaced. And, yes, it may make McCain seem like a flip-flopper. But polling shows that he is already viewed a someone who chances his political positions. Plus, the way it would work is that she would step off the ticker because of ABC reason. Whether it be one of the many...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

The reason we're becoming a third world country is that our "real" tax rate is way below the rest of the developed world. Our "real" corporate tax rate is the lowest of all developed nations. So is the "real" personal rate on the wealthiest in our country. You seem like an honest guy...

    i found the holy grail

So... Tell us more. Before your thread devolves into Hershey nonsense and other ET flaming! You've, at least, got my attention and Mset's attention. Also, if your system involves PA, is it discretionary?

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

You're kidding, right? If you had said that about McCain, you'd be making sense. But Palin. Come on, she's way out of her league. Her answers aren't literal or sincere. She's just not a smart person. And in addition, she's one of those people that makes up for brains by being cocky. And...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

That sounds like a threat, my friend. In these fascist times, the thugs (our current administration) could take you into custody, never to be heard from, again. You wouldn't even get to vote to keep them in power! :D Anyway, I hope it doesn't come to that. You'd think a majority of this...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Exactly. Even though I don't like Lieberman, both would have been fine. They meet the first requirement. QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT. And a wise choice, would have proven that McCain hasn't lost it. Man, what is up with the guy. Now, he had to backtrack on the debate. I mean...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Pabst, Once again, you make some good points. But I still feel you're too ideological. I mean things are going to shit. What are your solutions? Putting a dummy one heart beat away from the presidency is no reckless. Regardless of what she believes. Hell, my son knows more than she...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Pabst Prime, Even though I disagree with you, I want you to know that my posts about the dummies don't apply to you. I read your posts on this forum. I know I can't change your mind about Obama, but I can't believe your rationalization of Palin. I tried to accept her, but I can't. It...

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

These Republicans believe in spent, spend, spend, socialize everything, except the health care we need. Make the rich richer, let the poor suffer and cause trouble in the Middle East to protect oil. They're thugs and don't believe in the philosophy you're looking for.

    Katie Couric Sarah Palin Interview

Don't be a fool! With all due respect this is about my country and my family and my son! I look around and I see what's going on. A war we shouldn't be in that I'd never let my son fight in, a financial disaster that I had nothing to do with, the rich getting richer, health care way too...

All this Feels Just Like 911 - Except its Economic Terrorism this time:

The guy may be overly negative, but you're basically making his point for him. I see it all around me. Americans don't believe anything they read. They've become so stupid that they continue to believe crap and vote for dummies like themselves. The question is: Are there enough people...
