    AI and Trading

I don't think AI will change much. Reason being trading is a marathon a long game and very vast, different kind of markets. AI is also programmed by humans and humans have emotions too. If AI is on a losing streak humans will tweak the parameters negating the AI or completely pull the plug for...

I'm seriously thinking of giving up on technical patterns.

You have been trading for 27 years and only recently think that you have something with an edge. You deserve a medal for lasting so long lol.

    Trading BTC can beat HODL

True it is very hard to beat HODL if you get in at a good price, although its still possible.

The truth is trading is incredibly boring..

Not true. Yes, there are a 1001 ways to trade, but you just be to be a master of 1. Anyways for "talent", I think its a common misconception that an individual has some gods gift and 100% knows everything from the start. I believe some has more predisposition to be a better trader, they have...

The truth is trading is incredibly boring..

In its essence, there really isn't much a price can do. It either moves up or down. You just have to predict which has a greater probability.

The truth is trading is incredibly boring..

The only time you would be interested is the start just like the start of romancing someone in an honeymoon period. Day trading is a big no no for me. Like doing 1-3 trades a day is still good but doing 10 or more is excessive. Anyway that is my experience.

The truth is trading is incredibly boring..

In this day and age with cryptocurrencies it really isn't that high when you get 10x-few hundredx baggers occassionally.

The truth is trading is incredibly boring..

It isn't something that requires immense skill imo. Once you have a working methodology and you apply it again and again you will see results but the drawdowns psychologically are very very tough. Besides drawdowns, the hard part of trading is it is very boring. Thus, most people would want to...

    Position Trading

I don't agree it's riskier. There are few trades but they are much much larger winners. Also price patterns respect longer time frames more. Shorter time frames can be subjected to manipulation and is pretty random.

    Position Trading

Monthly DCAing in a bear market so you get in a low buy in average price. I have been DCAing bitcoin 2018 onwards when it was below $10k and at one point prices were as low as $3kish. Cryptos have bull/bear markets of 4/5 years and when they fall the big coins fall 80% while altcoins 90+%. You...

    Position Trading

For longer term investing you don't use a stop loss. Everyone says we have to always use a stop loss but I don't believe that is necessarily true. You can spots signs of a bottom and then accumulate at those bottom prices which is a form of managing risk. My trading style is also swing and...

    Why complicate things?

Yes, you don't have to complicate things at all. If you consistently DCA into TSLA last few years you will be making bank. Trading is difficult because people overcomplicate things. You can make money easily if you choose to.

    Trading for big returns

There is no fixed answer. It depends on your preference, whatever you are comfortable with losing you can set that amount to go for those plays with higher returns but bigger risks.

Steven Dux: +230k today. $500K on the week

I vibe with this statement. Not saying all trading gurus are legit since most are not but there are some that are real. A lot of people don't make big money because they don't give themselves a chance to make big money as ironic as that sounds.

Bullshit or not (ETH to go less than 2K)

There's a possibility eth goes under $2k but I feel it would be like a dump and wick as very fast buying will prop the price back up again. There were people hoping for btc under $2k and even $1k back then. Didn't happen.

    Define “Edge”

An edge is using a pattern/statistic advantage to your winning favor, but it can be fleeting in the world of trading unlike in a casino game where it is fixed.

It seems the key rules to beating the market are these...

For me the secret to trading is not to lose all your money. The longer you stay in the market the higher chance of being profitable.
