Are you assessing a change in IB's mentality?

The following link shows the Barron's March 6, 2006 broker survey results. TOS was rated 4.5 stars (just under OXP), and Choicetrade was rated as 4.0 (scroll down, under the active trader list). There are several other brokers there with a ranking of 4.0 plus as well...

I sent IB many PM's (for a liquidation problem) as per their request and haven't heard back from them in 2.5 weeks. I would imagine if you are wrong they will respond by tomorrow; if you are right, have a lot of patience.

If you choose IB and ever have a problem with them, be prepared... I speak from my own experience--still not done with them.

Anyone have a sense who are the top five brokerage firms for option volume for retail customers? (I am assuming IB and OXP are definitely on the list) ...also a sense of the order of their ranking?

Amazingly well run. Metooxx says Redsky really know options. I feel that way about everyone there when I have made inquiries; they are in reality primarily an institutional broker, but would accept certain individual traders.

Redsky's minimum is 25k as per Chaz Shaw of Redsky with Fimat clearance.

I thought I had IB's full atttention. They asked me to take the matter private to get a response. We did that, while IB was probably laughing at me for the last 12 days.
