I'm trying IB's demo. The market order is always transmitted half second after I place the order.
I would like to know, for fast moving market like emini, how fast does IB's market order get filled? Does IB click and fill?
My faourite online broker offers a java based trading platform and I wonder is Java/brower based platform slower than standalone platform like Tradestation, etc in general? If so, what the main problem with Java platform?
I agree the original time-based MP solved the problem that volume data is not available in forex. But that bring alone another problem.
As different forex centers open and close at different time, what's the best trading hours to be count for daily MP, expecially on Friday and Monday?
Thanks Sherlock, I have to travel a lot later, so my whole setup would be a notebook and one external backup device. I know USB is slow but at least better than die. Does XP support booting with faster interfaces like USB 2.0 or fireware?
I need to use a MS WINDOWS based real-time charting program (for HK market). Is that Linux can do this and how is the result? How strong my machine got to be?
