Thats for sure, I was trading CME currency futures with an autoclick software on X trader the minimum slippage i got was 7 ticks and the spreads can get to 15-20 ticks on 6C or 6B. 6E has more liquidity, but still too doggy for large trades. I came to a conclusion that trading the news is much...
Hi,
Is there a way to get a free Time & Sales recorded(historical) data for ES, ER2, YM, or any other instruments that can help in practicing tape reading?
Thanks.
My friend is working for them. I personally like'em very much, especially "maximum slippage on market orders control" you can set the number of pips that you're willing to take in slippage. This feature is very useful for the news traders.
Regarding liquidity.....well looking at the market...
Execution on Currenex is not up to FXCM or any other Currenex provider. You'll get the same execution with any broker offering Currenex, say with http://www.capitalforex.com/ but for 25$ a million commission. Now compare that to what FXCM will charge you.
James,
Forget about speed, volatility, whatever youâre thinking about will be killed by constant requotes. Another thing, MIGs quotes are indicative and your pending orders may not get executed unless the price goes well through.
Hi to all,
Anyone uses IB feed for MD? I've just downloaded MD and it seems that there is no hist. tick data available from IB feed??????? also IB sends its data as a "snapshot" Does it really affects MD that much?
Hi everyone,
Right now I have Sierra Charts and Ensign Windows running with the same data feed (IB) and timeframe. The thing is MACD and 200sma have different values most of the time.
Has anyone experienced something like this?
Currenex gives you market depth from many major players, but I think this will only reflect a very small part of the whole picture.
Actually I think that market depth is a useless tool in forex and can be of any use only in an exchange traded instruments.
I'm talking about bid/ask scalping and the 10min. late fills are from buying bid and selling ask cos there are 200 contr. in front of me. But, I know people do it today and will do it tomorrow.
The thing is that I canât find anything in the net about this, nor at any book that I've read or in...
Urkel,
Of course I understand that what comes out of my trades is way more gambling than trading, and for that very reason I am asking what am I doing wrong?
I will appreciate some helpful suggestions like from Red Duke, suggesting reading John Carter's book Mastering the Trade.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to learn scalping ES,YM,ER2 bid/ask. Trying on my own, so I feel that I'll need some help here.
I trade with IB+ZeroLine Trader, set to autochase bid/ask but usually no fill for 10min. so even if i get one side filled the quote will be hell knows where in the next...
Hi Everyone,
I've been trading FX for three years, and have decided to take a look at a futures market. I've read several threads about ES scalping set up an account with IB and tried to simtrade it with zeroline trader.
Well my question is, is it realistic to scalp off buying bid/selling...
