This method is used by a trader I know in the austin, texas area - it is called the "smart accordion" and he has it working good.

Charly, For futures I use settings that are much faster than the typical settings used by most others. My indicators synchronize well and get in a good rhythm with the shorter term cycles of the market I trade.

I did some research of this method in the past and I never found anything that was defined enough to write specific rules and then backtest..so the answer is no from what I was able to research.

T/A works well with very defined rules imo. I have made money month after month for years now only using two basic indicators from what I was taught by AMT. It can be done if the rules are precisely defined and always followed.

If a paid for trading system does not have clearly defined entries with zero vagueness then I would never pay up. Good systems that are paid for courses, need to have entries that are exact and right down to which second of the bar to enter imo.

I am familiar with the madscalper trading set ups and my only fault with them is the lack of clearly defined times to take trades. The set ups can work good, but it is vague when exactly to use them. The overall rules of the trade are not defined well enough imo. When I trade, I now exactly...

I have been noticing how good this works also but I do not even use trend lines. I do use price channels for a guide, but my primary tools for taking DAX trades has been a non standard MACD and Stochastic set up. The DAX has had excellent trading for almost a year now since I started to trade it.

There we go as I said....employment news gives us some action and a break of the May 12th LOD for the ES. We sure did get some action off that news and now we will have a wild day. :)

Hey, the employment news might get the market to rally...like I said, we should get some action after the news. You better put that telescope away...it may be affecting you adversely. :)

We do have the potential here for a very rough day tomorrow, and the ES May 12th LOD was at 1075.00 so we are sitting in striking distance of a real bust tomorrow. The "close above 1100" failure yesterday was the icing on the cake for me to ride this baby Short!
