Using real names on message boards

I don't think changing credit card numbers or closing accounts is a good idea. I closed an account after a minor theft and forgery of one of those so-called "convenience checks" from my mail. Once I did that, the credit card bank completely disavowed that the account ever existed and refused...

The Capitalist system, it's flaws and possible solutions.

Capitalism isn't really a "good system" but its the way things need to be. You know... price controls cause shortages, subsidies cause surpluses. And most socialist schemes, although often elaborately disguised, effectively amount to price controls or subsidies. It's sort of like trying to...

Can you think out of the box: show that Capitalism REQUIRES Socialism :D

Well I guess you could use the US govt breaking up AT&T or their treatment of Microsoft as examples. I think they both show characteristics of socialism, even if in America we happen to associate that sort of thing with Teddy Roosevelt and the right.

Can you think out of the box: show that Capitalism REQUIRES Socialism :D

Do you think government breaking up monopolies is a socialist policy? And if so, please explain how you think it holds hostage human creativity.

    who watches 24?

Watched again last night. I missed the previous one, unfortunately. So I'm a little confused. Am I supposed to cheer when the government tortures Americans, or is that meant to be bad? Those looked like real Marines at the end. I wonder how much of my tax dollars are going...

Can you think out of the box: show that Capitalism REQUIRES Socialism :D

Here's thinking outside the box, I think so anyway.:p When private entities become too powerful and monopolistic relative to the power that public/government entities have, these monopolistic entities effectively become a government of sorts, because they have powers over both the individual...

Anyone have positive results using Trade Ideas streaming alerts?

Pretty slick looking website. Might make people think trading is fun. :p How much do they charge after the trial period?

    Premature is bad.

I'm sure premature is bad by defiinition. I find that many things that are done prematurely can be rectified by doing them twice. Which isn't a waste of time as long as you enjoy yourself.

TASR - when does SEC take action?

I wonder if shorts are getting burned with too much size, then covering aggressively. It's very volatile for such a high priced stock, even a benchmark beta of 3.6 is misleadingly low compared to the true volatility I think.

    Tasr never stops...

I got another signal to short it at 99. IB still won't lend me any though. Too much short interest I guess.

    Tasr never stops...

OK, I just come in here and tell tall tales just to mess with your head. It's fun. :p

    Tasr never stops...

My system was telling me to short TASR a few days ago, but IB didn't have any for borrow. I think I would have made a small profit covering yesterday.

    Not bad for 30k..

Interesting. I suppose that's not technically "front running" since he has no knowledge about specific trades that are going to take place.

    S&P about out of gas?

OK I was mistaken about the divergence, but I thought the RSI dip below 30 in early Feb was something.

lets all hold a vigil tonight

I think the only suitable sacrifice is to send Mr Market some fine meats and cheeses.

    S&P about out of gas?

This was my attempt at the "make it pretty" concept. Been watching this since early January. All through the uptrend RSI stayed just above 30, 21 MA was just above 50, and MACD histogram was just barely positive. All of that has changed now, and there is some negative divergence on the MACD...

500 years of Hidden history: http://www.hebrewhistory.org

That's why I said "microcosm". I read it all. The cut and paste stuff is interesting, but your conclusions make no sense. Jews and Nazis working together by exterminating themselves? Riiiight.

500 years of Hidden history: http://www.hebrewhistory.org

This is sort of a microcosm of many of your other posts. A lengthy complex explanation, and then a conclusion that has no apparent relation to the explanation.

What is the purpose for finding life on Mars

Well one thing that hasn't been mentioned is the implication of life on Mars being that the existence of other life in the galaxy greatly increases. Of course, if they don't find fossils where they expect to, that would greatly decrease the likelyhood. That would lead to cutbacks in SETI...

    Don't get it.

It just goes to show how profoundly irrational people really are. We think humans are the most intelligent creatures, but so much of that intelligence is wasted fooling ourselves in elaborate ways that help justify horrible crimes against ourselves and our fellow man. And that certainly...
