Debit Spread - Risk Management (STOP)

Don't you think that selling out the long leg and leaving short leg open is lot riskier? My debit spread is like following FAZ MAY 10 CALL - LONG FAZ MAY 20 CALL - SHORT Max Risk / Max Reward: 1.40 / 8.60

BofAmerica, After Receiving 45 Billion Taxpayer $, Raises Base Pay From 180k to 300k

What difference it makes if it is shareholder or taxpayer? They both are in same shoe with a little difference that taxpayers does not have option to opt-out. It is always people's money that they are abusing. - My 2 cents.

Debit Spread - Risk Management (STOP)

Friends, I did not put any stop in my debit-spread combo and my peak profit of about 100% is now in RED. Can someone please suggest a way to do risk-management in debit spreads? Perhaps STOP loss is the solution but I'm confused about the implementation part. My current broker (OH) let...

My stop was 1 cent below day-low

To my best knowledge, STOP or TRAILING STOP (or any advance order) stays with broker. Only market and limit order goes to exchange/ECN. I called the broker and support staff was unable to explain it. He put me on hold to investigate the issue but hung-up without saying anything. May be some...

My stop was 1 cent below day-low

Yes, it was a odd lot (40 shares) and my fill was at 29.429 (2.9 cents better). May be their stop logic is using BID in place of expected LAST price. FYI. I know that odd lot are pretty much hated on ET but I trade with small $$$ lot size.

    Optionshouse Experience

They are pretty good and do routing based on industry standard. Make sure you don't have AON flag set for your orders. I always get my fill when place sell-order little below ASK or buy-order at little above BID. So far very happy with OH.

Why Do Employers Seek ANY H-1B Worker Visas?

    credit spread followup actions

Very true - it surely looks lot better now after the market-close :-) I get your point - because seller of credit spreads makes profit by time decay or when underlying does not move in the direction in which buyer wants it to move - so scaling out strategy wont apply here. Every day is a...

    credit spread followup actions

I read following strategy for debit spread. Close half of your position when you've made 50% of max possible profit and then close remaining position once you reached 80% of max potential. Not sure how does this apply for credit spread. Risking $2 for 0.60 cents is a game of high...
